“Can you see whose going” Bette swallowed the lump in her throat. Her heart started to race wondering if Tina was going. “Uh…no…but we should totally go! It’ll give us a chance to catch up with our families and see all our old friends”
“My dad hasn’t spoken to me since he found out I was gay, my mother never wants to see or hear from me ever again and I don’t recall us having that many friends in high school…I’d say we were more like loners”
“Yeah but look at us now, we can rub it in their faces!” James smiled from ear to ear. “And we can see Alice and Shane again. Pleaseeeee Bette, come with” Bette rolled her eyes and eventually gave in. “Fine, let’s go”

Bette grabbed the arm rest of the plane seat, “I can’t believe you actually talked me into this” looking out the window shutting the blind. “I’ll make sure you have fun, I promise” she checked her seat belt for the billionth time. Finally the captain announced that they were preparing for landing and Bette breathed a sigh of relief, she wasn’t the best at flying but at least she got on the plane right?
As they collected their bags James was trying to remember the name of the girl Bette dated in high school, they talk about her nearly every day back then but she hadn’t mentioned her in years. “Do you think that girl you dated in school will be there….What’s her name?”
Bette cleared her throat, “Tina…no, she moved remember?” she answered quietly as she heard a screeching noise run towards her. “Ahhhhh. Hi, Hi, Hi! I’ve missed you Porter!” Alice squeezed the life out of her.
“Hey missy…it’s good to have you back” Shane greeted her way more casually.
On the way to their hotel they questioned Bette and James about their lives in New York and how long they were staying for. Bette let James answer all the questions about their trip as she had nothing to do with the planning of it. “We are here for 12 days—“Bette jumped in, “12 days?! But the reunion is tomorrow night, I have a million things to do can’t we leave after the weekend?”
“No because you need a break from work, so enjoy your time off boss”

Thanks!!! I had an absolutely amazing time at my reunion. Still enjoying LA for a few more days and then it’s time to head back home. Looking forward to reading about Bette’s and Tina’s reunion. I knew 3 pages was going to be a tease :P thanks for the chapter.
