    Chapter 27

Tina was sitting at her desk as Bette occupied her thoughts; it had been 4 weeks since they declared their love for one another. Three weeks, since they had gone away on their weekend getaway. She had only seen Bette a 3 times in the last 3 weeks, Tina was surprised how much she missed Bette, their trip only made Tina want to spend more time with Bette. Even though they tried their best to talk every night it still wasn’t enough it left Tina wanting more.

They both loved their jobs, and neither felt right asking the other to postpone their different work responsibilities to spend more time together, in a few weeks Bette would be starting her job at the University she would be teaching a class on art 2 days out of the week, and she had been busy preparing her agenda and curriculum.

Tina needed to clear her head if she wanted to get any work done she wanted to at least try and spend this weekend with Bette, she knew Bette had the weekend off.

“James I’m going to head out for lunch, give me at least an hour ok?”

    “You got it”

Tina walked to a café called The Planet that wasn’t too far from her office she ordered a Cobb Salad and an Ice Tea.

She was checking her e-mails on her phone when someone cleared their throat. She looked up and was surprised to see Kit.

“Hey Tina” They gave each other a hug

“Kit so nice to see you again”

“Mind if I join you?” Kit asked

“No not at all, please I’m just waiting for my food, I don’t normally eat out, I usually eat at my desk” Tina said

“Me too, I needed some air, daddy is driving me insane”

    They laughed

“Listen Tina, I’m actually glad I ran into you I’ve been meaning to talk to you about Bette”

    “About Bette?” Tina replied

“First of all I want to apologize for our father’s outburst at dinner, he’s very set in his ways and though he firmly believes he’s right in everything he says, he was wrong and you should have never been subjected to that.”

    1. Damn!!!! Bette really needs to think about what Tina just said. They just can’t end like this. Bette is really stubborn and hopefully she will talk to Kit and realize that se is making a big mistake. Thanks for posting. PPS

    2. first – that never happens 2 me?! enjoying your story and the tension here is adding a nice bit of drama – wouldn’t be LWord without drama! thnkx PPS

    3. the drama begins. Was wondering when it would come, & here it is. Time to think Bette, and stop being so self absorbed & get over being “daddy’s little girl”. NEXT!!

    4. Geez your going to make me cry. But I can see both sides. Tina can aford some one to do most her job but she likes what she does and Bette has worked so hard to get where she is and still working on what she wants, this is where the age differents comes in, Tina needs to remember back when and Bette needs to eat so she needs the job maybe just cut back some maybe Tina can get them a place to share. between both there jobs. I don’t know a lot of what if’s Right? thanks for your post so touching.

    5. oh the drama. I am totally with Tina on this one. Bette is still looking to prove daddy wrong. I wonder if Kit has ever shared with Bette what she shared with T about Melvin really being proud of B. Maybe she wouldn’t kill herself and her wonderful relationship if she knew. as always, great story.

    6. Whoa!!!!!!! I understand where Bette is coming from but Tina made a pretty valid point, it does seem like she’s trying to prove something to her father. I thought Bette would be a little more understanding, maybe they should move in together? Too fast? I don’t know, thanks for the awesome post ILM.

    7. Hey iluvmuzic, Whoa! All hell has broken loose.Firstly it was goo d to have Tina sn Kit talk things through.Kit has seen first hand the love between Bette and Tina as well as how Tina’s absence has affected her little sister. Also, Tina’s ;ove and support has given Bette the strength and courage to stand up to her father. Then Tina realized just how much she misses being with Bette and how their recently weekly visits have not been enough. So she headed to Bette’s to see how they can compromise their working lives to given them both a better work/life balance. They need to be with each other so that they can talk things through and enjoy the physical side of their love as much as the emotional. As they are both alphas, one of their worst character traits appears ad then end up arguing about how much each one with have to give up rather than focussing on what they will gain by being together. There is sense on both sides however Bette and Tina need to get over themselves and look to what they want for the future and will settle for in the present. How about Kit just knocks their stubborn heads together and locks them in a romm until they work this through. Now I really can’t wait to read more.Thank you so much.Your Loyal Fan.

    8. Whoa!!! Deep drama so well written. Those are very real. some of these same thoughts have been going thorough my mind about putting in time in a relationship. At some point in time somebody or both have to make a comprise. Like my current relationship without a schedule change it would lead to a lot of frustration.
