It is a sunny midday in West Hollywood and no matter what is happening with everyone else, for Elizabeth Scott and Barbara Kean it is another day. Barbara lays back in her seat by the swimming pool behind their house, complete with swimsuit and sunglasses. Nearby at the edge of another seat is Elizabeth, or Liz for short. She is not dressed in swimwear, deciding on something more casual as her mind is on something else. Barbara knows what that something else is and that is the offer.

Barbara: You still refuse to just lay out by the pool.

Liz: Maybe another time.

Liz looks at the pool.

Liz: Have you thought of anyone else?

Barbara: …No.

Liz can tell that the subject is not one she cares to partake in, preferring her poolside escape. Liz stands then walks over to her girlfriend, bending down and kissing her gently on the lips.

Liz: I guess I’ll get some exercise in then. Don’t forget about tonight.

Barbara: I won’t.

Liz nods and walks inside, leaving Barbara be.

Later as day turns to night, the plan for the night itself is dining with friends at a restaurant. Already there at their own table is a double date for the night. One of the couples is Oliver and Felicity, the other being the married couple of John Diggle and Lyla Michaels. John and Lyla have a baby daughter, Sara who is being babysat at the moment.

Felicity: It’s good to have some nights where we’re not all out fighting.

Oliver: It is, but I can’t help but think that this situation with Barry and SHIELD is a little too convenient. They’ve been able to lock up some dangerous invididuals. Last anybody checked, the Abomination is stuck in a holding facility somewhere with no way to escape. Somehow, the Flash is able to escape and with a member of SHIELD.

John: I know. It doesn’t seem to add up.

Lyla: That’s because Coulson’s playing a different game. You capture someone like the Flash and let him go, there’s a plan in place. I’ve had some experience with this working with Waller. Take individuals with special abilities, a bad attitude, and a criminal record and turn them into something useful. At some point, Coulson and Hand will make their move to either absorb ARGUS or to make us absorb them.
