“You don’t have to do that the back seat is fine with me” She didn’t even acknowledge that I had spoken to her before sliding quickly in to the back. Sighing I get in the now empty front seat and closed the door.

“Hey thanks for picking me up” I stated softly after Aiden had reached over to turn down the music.

“About time” I heard Ashley mutter from the back seat, seems I’m not the only one who doesn’t like rap.

“No problem baby” Aiden replied leaning over to peck me on the lips, but I turned away and his lips met my cheek instead. He gave me a confused look but didn’t question me putting the car in drive pulling away from the curb. It’s not that I didn’t want him to kiss me it was just that I felt awkward kissing him in front of Ashley for some reason. Ashley seemed to notice this because when I turned away I caught her watching me in the side mirror. She held my gaze for a long moment before turning to look out the window.

“So Spence what happen at practice I thought that it wasn’t over until four” Aiden asked as we pulled up to a red light.

“Ya it was, I was just having a off day” I responded looking in the review mirror where once again brown met blue. “Coach sent me home early.’

“Well you shouldn’t worry about it baby, you know you’re the best on the team.” Aiden stated while smiling over at me before continuing down the road. “How did your test go?”

“What test”

“The test you missed lunch for to make up” he replied glancing over at me.

“Oh that test it went good I think I passed.”

“Some test” Ashley said under her breath to where I don’t think Aiden heard it, he didn’t seem to have taken notice.

“So Ash where did you run off to today I didn’t see you around school as usual.”

Ashley looked up from playing with her thumb ring upon hearing her name.

“No where important just didn’t feel like being at school today.”

“Sneaked off to do some drawling did you” Aiden supplied chuckling while glancing back at her through the mirror.”
