“Glen that’s enough” my mother interjects

“No its fine mom” I turn back to glen “Coming for a man whores perspective I guess I could come off as prudish.” Glens smile dropped after I call him out, which made me smile on the inside.

“Whatever Spencer so do you want to go or not Aiden has already agreed to it”

“Well then does my answer really even matter?”

“Spencer I think it will do you some good to spend more time with your boyfriend” This statement caught me off guard; it was the first time my dad had acknowledged me since entering the kitchen.  I clearly notice how he stressed the word boyfriend. 

“It’s settled then we are leaving around 3 so be ready.” Glen finished off his plate sitting it in the sink and took off out the door.

My dad didn’t say anything else to me during breakfast; he didn’t even glance in my direction one time. I’m also pretty sure my mom was oblivious to the tension between us the whole time, to busy talking to me nonstop about the hospital. After breakfast I tried texting Ashley but got no reply I even tried calling which just got me her voice mail. I’m positive that she is now back to avoiding me. I spent the rest of the day in my room being miserable thinking of ways to get my father to come around until it was time for me to get ready to leave for golfing. I rode with Glen to pick up Madison and we met up with Aiden at the courses.

“Hey baby” Aiden was quickly to wrap me up in a tight hug “I’ve missed you”

“Me to” I replied pulling away creating the much needed space. With this whole Ashley situation going on I’ve become more and more uncomfortable with being around Aiden. It sucks because I know it is not fair to him.   After about 8 holes and at least 4 full blown make out session between Glen and Madison I was ready to go. Not to mention the fact that Aiden was desperately try to follow our counter parts example, which wasn’t happening. So once I mentioned to Aiden that I was ready to leave he was quick to offer me a ride home.
