    Author Notes:

    “It’s my Angel cradling a Miracle.”

     

     

    “What?  I don’t smell it.”  Kasey kept her face pressed against her window not wanting to meet Spencer’s searing gaze.  Unable to hold it in anymore she frantically blurted out, “Fine!  God, I get kinda…gassy when I’m nervous!”

     

    Spencer gagged, rolling down every single window in the truck as they drove along.  “Good thing you don’t get nervous often then.”  She replied, her nose stuck out toward the cool air rushing in.

     

    “Indeed.”  Kasey deadpanned with her arms defensively crossed over her chest.

    “Yea uhm…Nurse, excuse me.”  Spencer waved her hand in the air, trying to get the attention of either nurse.  Ignoring her completely, they trained their eyes on their paper work.

     

    “Anything?”  Kasey asked, biting away at her nails.

     

    “Not yet.”  Spencer sighed.

     

    “Hey look, Nurse Betty…or…”  Kasey leaned in and read the nametag.  “Nurse Betty?  Talk about a good guess.”  She chuckled before Spencer nudged her in the ribs.

     

    “Oh right.  Look, my girlfriend’s in here somewhere giving birth and if you don’t mind I’d like to go see how she’s doing so if you could just look at that chart of yours and tell me where she is I’d really app-“  A chubby little hand waved off her rant.

     

    “Look, I’m sorry Miss but only family is allowed in the rooms of this Ward.  If you take a seat I’ll update you as soon as we recei-“

     

    “Bullshit!”  Kasey interrupted her, flushed with anger.  “We ARE family.”  She motioned toward herself and Spencer.  “Now if you don’t give me the room number I will be forced to-“ Again, the chubby little hand made its presence known.

     

    “I’m sorry Miss.  I can’t help you.”

     

    “You wave that thing in my face again and-“ Spencer gripped Kasey’s arm and forced her away from the nurses’ station, cutting the brunette off yet again.  “You guys have to stop interrupting me.  She was starting to crack.”

     

    “She was about call security Kasey.  Look, I know you’re anxious but if we can’t get in we just have to sit back and wait.”  The blonde gave the girl a sympathetic look before taking a seat across from the nurses’ station.

    7. You have composed such a beautiful story that is such a joyful piece of fiction that I spent most of my time laughing and sometimes crying at every silly antic and poignant moment. You’ve created such vivid three dimensional characters that have quite literally touched me with their charming wit and expressive love for one another. Superbly written and uproariously entertaining. I would love to see a Part 3 to this awesome story, if at all possible? Thank you for all your hard work and faithfulness to complete this fabulous story.
