“Yes…yes we are…Ok, just remember to dress comfortably…”  There was a pause.  “Ok, see you in a few hours….Love you too, bye.”  Aiden rolled his eyes as Ashley hung up her cell.

“What?!  I can’t tell my girlfriend I love her?”  She tossed the device aside, plopping down on her bed.

“It’s not that, you guys are just so…cutesy with each other.”  The boy quietly spun in circles on the computer chair.

“Cutesy?  What the hell are you talking about…What about you and Mads huh?”  She mumbled, her face pressed into her pillows.

Aiden took a deep breath and released it heavily.  “We’re not doing so good actually.”  Ashley quickly twisted her body to face the boy who continuously spun in his seat, avoiding her gaze.

“What do you mean?”  She asked, cheek pressed into the soft material of her pillow.

“It’s…I dunno, it’s hard to explain.  Everything feels weird between us.”  He stopped his spinning actions and faced the girl.  “Maybe I’m just paranoid.”  He shrugged feeling a little dizzy.

“Have you talked to her about it?”  Ashley didn’t wish to press for answers but she wanted to make sure Aiden was okay.

“Nope.”  Just then Def Leppard’s ‘Rock of Ages’ broke the moment of silence.  “Damnit Kasey…”  Aiden mumbled as Ashley quirked an eyebrow in confusion.  “Oh, she keeps changing her ringtone on my phone.”  He held the device up, smiling impishly.

“What’s up?”  He answered.  “When?..Now!?  Hell yea I’m in!!  Give me ten, I’ll meet you there!” 

“Whoa, that conversation was over in less then ten seconds flat.  Must be a new record for the Dennison Twins!”  Ashley teased propping herself on her elbows; curious as to what took place.

“Shaddup!”  He replied, sticking his tongue out.  “Anyway, that’s our cue!  C’mon!”

“C’mon where?  We have to get our stuff together for tonight.”  Ashley shook her head, now sitting Indian style on her bed.

“This is for tonight.  Cut the chit-chat and follow!”  Aiden tossed open her bedroom door and slid down the stairs to her front door.  Ashley simply rolled her eyes, following the boy down to his car.

Kasey stood wide-eyed, her mouth slightly agape.  Ashley couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight.  She mirrored the image of a young child standing in the center of a candy store.  Aiden’s expression wasn’t that much different.
