    Realizing that family is all you truly need..

    Kasey groaned in annoyance when her cell phone suddenly came to life jolting her out of her sleep.  The song Remember the Name by Fort Minor reverberated throughout the room.  “Aiden.”  She growled.

     

    Eyeing the object from afar she quietly debated whether or not to answer.  Deciding against her better judgment she forced herself up and answered.  “What?”  She plopped back on her bed, stomach down.

     

    “Well good morning to you too sunshine!”  He sounded almost giddy in his own twisted way.

     

    “Let me guess..”   “Yep, she stayed over!”  Aiden jumped in before she could finish.  Kasey could immediately tell he was smiling on the other end.

     

    “’Nuff said.”  Aiden chuckled and let her continue.  “Man, what time is it anyway?”  She asked, not bothering to look at the clock only a few feet away.

     

    “It’s 10:30.  Why?”  The boy replied.  “Too early…bleh…”  Kasey just realized the disgusting taste that lingered in her mouth not only from the alcohol but from Eric’s unwelcome presence last night.

     

    Aiden sensed something odd in her voice and couldn’t help but ask if everything was fine.  “Yea I’m fine.  Think you could give me a ride to Ash’s though?  I need to get my truck, I just wanna crash here the rest of the day.”

     

    He happily agreed and added that he would be there within minutes.  ‘He doesn’t waste time when he knows something’s up…that psychic bastard…’  She thought hauling herself from her comfortable mattress and into the bathroom.

    Ashley grunted stretching out her legs and wriggling her toes.  Her arms went wide taking up the entire space in the bed.  She suddenly realized that the warm body she had fallen asleep next to was now missing.  She forced her eyes open and glanced at her bedside clock.  It was 11 am.

     

    “Spence?”  She spoke in between yawns.  Ashley’s head pounded furiously and her limbs felt like jello thanks to last night’s events.  The brunette could stomach tequila quite well but last night was overdoing it, not that she was complaining or anything.

     

    She lazily plopped her head to the side in direction of the bathroom, her body warmly pressed stomach down on her mattress.  Rustling in the next room indicated that someone, hopefully Spencer, was occupied freshening up.

    7. I’m glad that Kasey kicked Eric’s ass, but I’m still concerned with the fact that Kyla slept with Eric. Man, this is so going to screw up Kasey and Kyla’s relationship. You’re a wonderful writer and you always leave the reader wanting more. Great update…PMS
