They had finished dinner and now Spencer and Ashley were snuggled up on the sofa watching momento with Arthur and Paula. As the final credits rolled up the screen Ashley stifled a yawn and then asked who chose the film.

“It was my turn to choose, was it really lame?” Paula asked cautiously she liked to be thought of as a cool mother and although it pained her still all she wanted was for her daughter to be happy and if she had to force a friendship with Ashley that’s exactly what she would do.

“No way Mrs C that was an awesome film, im really impressed with your choice.” Ashley also felt that if Paula was prepared to try and get on with her she would do the same; it was only fair on Spencer.

“Anyways I think we are gonna head off to bed, night mum night dad” and with that Spencer pulled Ashley from the sofa.

“Night Mr C, Night Mrs C, Thanks for a cool night” Ashley smiled heartily at both of them.

Twenty minutes later and Spencer and Ashley were both laid in bed, Spencer rested her head on Ashley her hand protectively over Ashley’s stomach, while Ashley had her hand laid on top of Spencer’s and her other hand absent middle playing with Spencer’s hair.

“I love you Spencer” Ashley broke the silence

Spencer raised her head and looked deep into Ashley’s eyes.

“Ash do you think we are gonna be ok?” Spencer finally voiced her thoughts.

“I dunno Spence, I can’t guarantee the future but right now im here, you’re here, and we are happy surely that’s all that matters right? Ashley gave a reassuring smile.

“Yeah your right no point worrying about what you can’t control when we could be making out instead” Spencer replied with a mischievous smile kissing Ashley’s chest lightly.

Spencer moved her position slightly to allow her better access to Ashley’s lips and brushed her lips carefully against the brunettes.

They both momentarily opened their eyes a fraction, one glance conveying a thousand words.  Then with perfect timing both closed the minute gap and began to softly devour each others lips.
