Within Temptation – (Chapter: 67: Date night)

Spe: “You are so good to me.”
Ash: “You deserve the best. This is just the first stop tonight.”
Spe: “You mean there is more?”
Ash: “I want to spend a magical night with you. Of course this is just the first stop.”

I smiled at her again. I couldn’t stop smiling when this girl was around me. The waiter eventually came back with our dinner. Before leaving he informed us that if we needed anything to let him know. I politely smiled at him and watched as he walked away once again.

Once Ash and I finished our dinner I reached my foot under the table and began sliding it up and down her silky smooth leg. She blushed at me and it caused me to smile one of my biggest smiles. I love making her blush. She flagged down the waiter and paid the bill. She walked behind me and pulled my chair out for me. Before I could stand she was putting the blind fold over my eyes once again.

Spe: “Ash! Is this really necessary?”
    Ash: “Entirely.”

We repeated the confusing, blindfolded drive once again until we parked. She opened my door and removed my heels. This was confusing.

Spe: “Why don’t I need shoes?”
    Ash: “You will see.”

She scooped me up into her arms and carried me to god knows where. I suddenly smelled sea air and I heard waves crashing. I guess your other senses really do become stronger once you lose one. She sat me down and I felt sand taking over my feet. She stood behind me and placed kisses on my neck and shoulder as she removed the blindfold. Ashley was so romantic. My eyes fell upon a blanket that was surrounded by candles. The only other light was the moon and its reflection on the water. She grabbed my hand and lead me to the blanket.

Spe: “Ash, how did you set all of this up?”
Ash: “I might have had Kyla’s help.”
Spe: “Remind me to thank her.”

I went to sit down on the blanket, but Ashley stopped me. It was a little confusing, but I kept standing as her eyes began to bore into mine. Her eyes began to slowly fill with water and it immediately concerned me. Ashley never cried. I brought my hand up to cup her cheek and I leaned in closer to her.

    Spe: “Ash, what’s wrong love?”

She didn’t say anything. She crouched down in front of me on one knee and grabbed something small off of the blanket. She looked up at me and grabbed my left hand. She placed a soft kiss on my ring finger and tears began to spill over her eyes.

Ash: “I had a huge speech prepared, but … I I… Oh, I didn’t expect to get this emotional."

She rubbed under her eyes and looked up at me once more. She lifted her hand and resting on her palm was a small black box. She opened it and I could see something shiny. She pulled it out and held it closer to me. Once the moonlight hit it I could see that it was a ring. I gasped and looked from her to the ring.

Ash: “Spencer, will you be my wife?”
