I handed them the menus.

Arthur: “You can get anything you want. And surprise me with something too. I was having a hard time picking anyway.’

The girls looked through the menus while I leaned back in my chair thinking of what I should say about the little incident. They snapped my out of my thoughts when they handed me back the menus and made me call to order Chinese.
 

Paula’s Pov

I was just so frustrated with Spencer. I didn’t know what else to do or where to go. The only person I could think of was Arthur. We may not be getting along about the whole subject of Spencer and Ashley, but at least we could both agree on being worried about her. It was his lunch break, so I decided I should go see him. He was always so calm about everything. Maybe being around him would calm me down too. I was driving to his work, but I was only going 10 miles and hour. Curse this LA traffic. If it didn’t let up I wouldn’t be able to catch him in time.

Ashley’s Pov

My cell went off and I stepped outside to take the call. I know Spencer didn’t want to come here without me, but I figure she could use the alone time with her dad.

Ashley: “Hello?”
Kyla: “Hey, would you mind picking me up from school? I noticed you weren’t here, so I thought I would call and see if you could.”
Ashley: “Yeah, sure. That’s no problem.”
Kyla: "I know it’s still early, but I figured if you couldn’t I would use the rest of the school day finding a ride.”
Ashley: “What about veronica?”
Kyla: “She’s already graduated. She will probably be at work.”
Ashley: “Anyway I don’t mind picking you up, but you should seriously take Aiden up on his offer to teach you to drive.”
Kyla: “Hmm, Maybe veronica would. I would much rather her teach me than Aiden, but anyway I have to get back to class. See you later.”
Ashley: “Alright bye.”

I stepped back into the room and took my set beside Spencer.

Paula’s Pov

Traffic was starting to let up and I was able to go at least thirty miles an hour. I drove at this speed for five more minutes when I saw Arthur’s work building off in the distance.  I finally made it into the parking lot and I got out of the car.

Spencer’s Pov.

Everything was calm now. I talked to my dad about everything and he is happy Ashley and I are together. He told me he wished I felt like I could have came to him earlier, but that’s the past and we are all ok now.  Well, almost ok. There is still mom I’m going to have to deal with. Dad already warned me that she wasn’t going to let this blow over easily. He told me I did need to come home tonight and I agreed. He didn’t even seem concerned that I skipped school today. I didn’t exactly mean to, but at least I used to time to talk to him and get everything back on track. I heard a knock at the door and My dad stood up to answer it.
