When Spencer got in from her night
of laughter and embarrassment she found
her family sitting around in the
living room. Her dad had his hands over
his face and her mom was openly crying.
Glen and Clay were sitting silently.

Spencer:"What’s going on?"

Paula:"We’re poor."

Arthur:"We’re not poor. Spencer. Your mom and I need to find new jobs."

Spencer:"What? You got fired?"

Paula:"Yes."

Spencer:"But…Dad don’t you-"

Arthur:"No. I got dismissed."

Spencer:"We’re not poor though. Right?"

Arthur:"No Spence. But the unemployment
check won’t give us alot of money."

Spencer:"I need a job don’t I?"

Glen:"We all need a job."

Paula:"Why don’t you guys go to bed."

At School
Spencer was sitting at her lunch table.
June and Ashley were either side of her. Kyla and Aiden sat down last.

Kyla:"But you guys aren’t poor. I
mean it’s easy to find a job in
L.A."

Aiden:"It is?"

Ashley:"Aiden! Shut up!"

Aiden:"Oh! Right! It Is easy to find a
job in L.A!"

Spencer:"Thanks for the support guys.
I think I’l look for a job at the
movie theatre."

June:"Good idea."

Ashley:"I forgot to ask. How’s Jesse?"

June:"Raising all kinds of Hell."

Spencer:"She’ll be back tomorrow right?"

June:"Yeah. Tonight we’re going to
a take Sunshine through the mountains."

Ashley:"Have fun with that."

June:"We will."

Spencer:"Guys I was thinking about
having one more night of not being
poor. Who wants to come watch a
scary movie at my house?"

Kyla:"What movie is it?"

Spencer:"Wrong Turn."

Kyla:"No! Geez That movie scared the Hell out of me."

Aiden:"I can’t."

Ashley:"ooo..Guesss it’s just me and you Spencer."

June:"Please refrain from doing
anything inappropriate."

Spencer:"Sure you can;t come?"

June:"I’m sure. Have a good time."

That Night

Spencer:"aaaahhh!!"

T.V:"SCOTT NO!!"

Ashley:"Scott! O God! Not Scott!"

Spencer:"Haha! Shut Up Ashley!"

There was a knock on the door.

Ashley:"It might be leatherface! Don’t
answer that!"

Spencer:"Shut up Ashley!"

Spencer got up and opened the door.

Spencer:"Kelly? Wow! How are you?"

Kelly:"I’m good."

Spencer:"I’m fine."

Kelly:"I can see that."

Ashley:"Ah-hem!"

Spencer:"Oh. Kelly this is Ashley.
My girlfriend."

Ashley:"Put emphasis on the word
girlfriend."

Kelly:"Mind if I step in?"

Ashley:"Yes."

Spencer:"Ash! No of course not. We
were just baking some cookies."

Kelly stepped in and closed the door behind her. The three girls stood there
in the circle. Ashley looked over to Spencer. In complete dis-belief she saw Spencer
looking Kelly up and down with
lustful eyes.

Ashley:"Hey! What are you doing?"

Spencer:"Uhh..nothing. "

Kelly:"It’s okay Spencer. You have a
right to do what you want."

Ashley:"You stay out of MY GIRLFRIENDS
life!"

Spencer:"Ashley! Stop!"

Ashley:"You stop! You were checking her
out!"

Kelly:"Can you blame her?"

Ashley:"Shut up!"

Kelly:"Getting scared Ashley?
Maybe you should let me take care
of her. Seeing as she seems to be
getting sick of looking at you."

Ashley sprang at Kelly like a
ferocious tiger. Her fists were pounding on her like a thunderstorm.

Spencer:"Ashley!! Stop it!!"

Spencer pulled Ashley off of Kelly
by her hair.

Ashley:"She started it!"

Spencer let go of Ashley as Kelly
collected herself.

Spencer:"Are you okay?"

Kelly:"Yes. I’m fine. No offense but
maybe you should keep miss jealous on a leash."

Spencer:"I’ll think about it."

Ashley:"Spencer! She interrupted us!"

Spencer:"Maybe you should just go."

Ashley:"But…what about me?"

Spencer:"Leave."

Ashley hung her head as she flipped
off Kelly and went out the door.
