We All Love To Score – (Chapter: 1: intro)
“If you’re talking about Madison, which I know you are, you need to get over it. It’s been 8 years Ash.”
“So what? I have a right to call the gold-digger. She still hasn’t let the Aiden thing go.”
“Yeah, yeah. Speaking of Aiden… he’s coming to lunch with us.” She mumbled, but I heard it.
“Aiden’s coming? Please don’t tell me the two of you are back together?”
“So what happened with you and Madison?” She said changing the subject.
“I’ll take that as a yes. Well she has a six year old boy. His name is Christian. He’s so cute, definitely doesn’t take after his mother.” I scoffed.
“Give it up Ash. So what did she say?”
“‘I knew you would end up doing something manly’ surprisingly.” I repeated her words in a high pitched annoying voice.
“She didn’t say that.”
“Yes she did. Then she said she was only joking. Whatever, I only get to see her three nights a week. Go me.” I rolled my eyes at her.
“I’m sure you will live.” The door knocked and her secretary came popped her head around the door saying her 11 o’clock was here. “Ok thanks Trish. Wanna come with or stay here?”
“I’ll come and then we can get lover-boy and grab lunch.”

“Spencer honey come on!” You know if he shouts me one more time.
“I’m coming. God chill out.”
“We have to go and get Sarah from day-care.”
“Yes I know.” I finally get ready and make my way downstairs. “Happy?”
“Yes.” He answers simply. We get into the car and all I can see is the ring on my finger. The shine to it has gone, it doesn’t sparkle like it use to, a bit like our relationship. To be honest our relationship never really sparkled to begin with. He was my first, I got pregnant with him. Pregnant at the age of 15, had my first born when I was 16. My mum and dad were both fuming, but the only way to make this ‘right’ was to get married. 7 long years I’ve been married, and not once have a felt any love for him. I mean, I do love him; he is the farther of my two children after all, and I was so happy he didn’t leave me hanging like you hear.
After I got pregnant the second time, we moved out to L.A. I didn’t want to stay in Ohio anymore, it was too uninteresting. I was so bored over there. It didn’t really help that all of my friends ditched me when they found out I was pregnant at such a young age. Like they were perfect! It was entirely their fault I was having sex anyway, they were the ones that made a huge deal about it. I never regret having my children though, I love them to bits.
We finally got to the day-care centre and Sarah came running up to me. “Mummy! We drew pictures today, and we got to paint, it was so much fun!” Awww she so cute when she’s excited.
“Hun that’s great. What did you paint a picture of?”
“Me, you and daddy.”
“What about your brother?”
“No. He’s horrible to me. He took away Amy and made his army men blow her up.” She sulked. Amy was her favourite little plastic doll. She was crying for days when her brother ruined her.
“I know hunny. Hey why don’t we go and get some ice-cream?”
“Yay! Daddy come on we are going to get ice-cream.” Sarah ran off to the car.
“What are you going to give her ice-cream for? You know she gets hyper.”
“But look how happy she is.” She was grinning, practically hopping inside the car. I don’t mind putting up with her later if I get to see her smile like that.
