    Everyone has another side…

     

    Don’t look at me like that. How was I supposed to know that? Spencer thought in annoyance.

     

    “So, let’s get going!” Ashley said, with a bright smile on her face. Spencer felt guilty as she looked at Carmen and Chelsea. This would be the second time that she’d ditched Carmen today. Chelsea spoke up before Carmen did.

     

    “You’d be crazy if you didn’t go. This cafeteria food is just plain nasty.” Chelsea said, smiling as she waved Spencer away.

     

    “You sure?” Spencer asked, still unsure. Chelsea was the only one that nodded head. Spencer stood up and followed Madison and Ashley to the parking lot. Her mouth dropped open as they arrived beside a silver Porsche.

     

    “So you like it huh?” Ashley laughed as she rubbed the side of the car. “This car right here is my baby. I never go anywhere without it.”

     

    “She sure doesn’t.” Madison said as she opened the passenger door. “Sometime’s I think she loves this car more than she loves me.” At this, Spencer frowned.

     

    Why in the hell would Ashley love her? Spencer thought as she pretended to laugh at Madison’s comment. Madison seemed to read her mind as she spoke again.

     

    “I mean, seeing as how we’re supposed to be best friends and everything.” Madison bit her lip as she said it. There was an awkward pause.

     

    “So…are you guys gonna get in the car?” Ashley asked, already in the Driver’s seat. Spencer hopped into the backseat and they took off. The three of them just listened to music for a little while before Spencer broke it.

     

    “So what’s up with the team and co-captains?” Spencer asked, frowning. “I mean, how many have you guys had? Why have you had so many?” Spencer watched as Ashley and Madison met each other’s eyes. I hope they know that I saw that…

     

    “Well, um.” Madison started. “None of our co-captains have actually had what we were looking for.”

     

    “You mean what you’re looking for.” Ashley mumbled under her breath. Madison gave her a sideways glance and Spencer interrupted.

     

    “What are you looking for?” Spencer asked, slightly confused. A co-captain was the only thing she was supposed to be…right?
