“My problem is that your brother should go for a girl who actually likes boys,” Ashley pointed out. He shouldn’t bother to go after my girl. Don’t make your brother out to be some victim when he clearly is not.

“I don’t know why you’re so upset since we’re not that different, Davies,” explained Daniel. You broke girls in for your own pleasure and I do the same thing. The difference is you think you found someone to settle down with. We both know that you two aren’t going to last. It’s going to wind up like your past relationships. Ashley was about to take a swing at Daniel, but Derek held her back. Ashley pushed Derek back.

“I changed my ways,” Ashley retorted. I am not like you, Daniel. I love Spencer more than anything else in this world and I really care about her. You don’t even care about Spencer. She’s just another toy to you.

“You really know me,” snickered Daniel. I finally hit a sensitive chord in you. You are human after all and not the robot everyone thinks you are.

“You should leave before I do something I might regret to you and you won’t live to see your seventeenth birthday,” Ashley explained with gritted teeth. You don’t disrespect my girl and think you can get away with it.

“Fine, we are done with this friendly chat anyway,” responded Daniel. Daniel and Derek walked away from Ashley. Ashley headed to algebra class.

“Ms. Davies, you’re late,” the teacher snarled.

“Yes, I know,” said Ashley as she sat next to me.

“Is everything alright?” I questioned with concern.

“Yeah, I was trying to beat the crap out of Daniel to knock some sense in to him and to leave you alone, but Derek had to appear and break up the fight,” whispered Ashley simply.

“Do you think it worked?” I asked.

“I wish I could say that it did work, baby,” began Ashley with a sigh. I’m afraid it will only make him want to try harder to win you over.

“You won’t lose me, I promise,” I stated sweetly. I love you so much, Ash and nothing could ever change that.
