To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Forty-Eight)

“I k-know, but I need you in my life forever,” sighed Ashley. My parents and Glen went towards us.

“Your little love fest is over,” my Mom stated coldly. Okay, that’s enough! My Mom tried to pull me away, however I wouldn’t budge. Spencer Marie, we need to go. We’re going to miss our flight at this pace you two are going.

“I’m staying,” I began. I’m staying in LA with Ash, Mom.

    “You can’t,” retorted my Mom.

“Yes, I can,” I stated. I l-love her so much and all I do is I j-just want to be with her. Tears were streaming down my face. Ashley wiped away my tears and held me close to her.

“I want you to stay away from my daughter,” began my Mom coldly.

“I’m afraid I can do that,” I responded.

“You are one of those hard learners, too?” observed Glen.

“No, I’m not,” Ashley retorted. I j-just don’t want to lose Spencer. If I lose her, I lose everything. L-life without her isn’t really living. With that said, Spence, I h-have a question to ask you.

“What’s up?” I asked. Ashley went down on one knee and took my hands in her own and kissed them.

“This is getting ridiculous,” snarled Glen. Spencer can’t get married at sixteen! Mom, do something.

“Spencer, let’s go,” my Mom growled. We’re leaving. We have to board on the plane soon.

“I’m not going anywhere,” I retorted. I need her and I c-can’t live without her.

“I’m not going to let anything separate us again,” began Ashley. From the moment, I first saw you I already pictured myself having a future with you. I love you so very much and nothing could ever change that. Y-you have made me happier than I ever thought I could be and if you let me I will spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you have made me. Ashley took out a box and a smile formed on her lips and she continued, “Spencer Marie Carlin, w-will you marry me, Ashley Christine Davies?”

“Yes, I will marry you,” I responded with a smile. I moved my promise ring to my right ring finger. Ashley put the engagement ring on my left ring finger.

“You can’t marry her,” Glen snarled.

“Yes, she can,” stated Kyla. It’s Spencer and Ashley’s life together. It’s not yours.

“Flight 095 is now boarding,” stated a flight attendant.

“We need to go,” my Mom snarled. My Mom tried to pull me away for a second time today. Spencer, let’s go.

“No!” I yelled shocking my parents and Glen. You three could go back to Ohio, but me… I have a place where I belong… with Ashley. I want to spend my life with her and nothing you do or say will change that.

“You do this and you’re no longer part of the family, Spencer,” explained my Mom. There’s no turning back.

“Fine,” I sighed. Let’s go, Ash. Ashley and I walked away and Kyla followed us.
