To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Fifty-One)

    —–

At the church yet again waiting for the wedding to proceed…

I was getting nervous again hearing the wedding march. I didn’t know why I was. “Are you ready?” Aiden asked with curiosity. I nodded. Aiden held out his arm for me to take since he was walking me down the aisle. “In case I didn’t mention it before, you look beautiful.”

“Thank you,” I said. Aiden and I left the room. We began to walk down the aisle and the song I’ll Be by Edwin McCain was playing in the background. I felt my nervousness slowly dissolve and I smiled when I saw Ashley looking at me. “You do realize that you and Kyla are going to have to renew your wedding vows.”

“Kyla’s been hinting at it since Ashley popped the question,” replied Aiden.

“Congratulations.” Aiden kissed me on my cheek. He went to stand by Ashley’s side.

“Dearly beloved,” the minister began. “Nothing makes God happier than when two people, come together in love. Friends, family, we’re gathered here today to join Spencer and Ashley in holy matrimony. We shall proceed to the vows. Spencer?” I turned to get my vows from Kyla as well as the wedding ring.

“Ashley, from the moment I saw you I knew that there was more to you than met the eye, something really great,” I stated. “You weren’t like anyone else I met before. You were special.” Ashley smiled and I returned the smile. “I always felt that there was something else I needed in my life that would make me truly happy and that’s you, Ashley Davies. You are my family. You complete me.”

Aiden was going to give Ashley the vows, however Ashley stops him. “It’s alright,” said Ashley with a grin. “I know exactly what I’m going to say.” Aiden handed Ashley the wedding ring and retreated. “Before you, I never believed in love at first sight. I didn’t think that I would find my other half, the reason for my being. Any obstacles that come our way, it’ll be alright since I am so, so in love with you. You are the girl that I want to share my life with no matter what.” Ashley put the ring on my finger.

“Spencer, do you take Ashley to be your wife?” the minister asked.

“I do,” I answered with the biggest smile on my face.

“Ashley, do you take Spencer to be your wife?” the minister asked.

“Yes, I do,” answered Ashley with a smile.

“You may now kiss the bride,” the minister stated. Ashley and I leaned in to kiss and I wrapped my arms around Ashley’s neck. It was the most passionate kiss we have shared so far. She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me closer to her. I wasn’t sure of what was going to come next in my life, but as long as Ashley and I were together I knew that everything was going to be alright.
