To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Fifteen)

Ashley and I were lying down at the ground at our thinking spot. We had stood silent for awhile until Ashley looked at me and spoke up: “Do you think things would be easier for us if I were a guy?”

I let out a light chuckle. “Things probably would be easier, but Glen would still hate you, babe,” I explained with a sigh.

“Why do you think that he still would?” questioned Ashley with curiosity. I wouldn’t have “turned” his little sister into a lesbian.

“Don’t take it personal or anything, he pretty much hates everyone except people who are like him,” I responded. He’s like my Mom in the way that he is close-minded. I wouldn’t want you as a guy anyway. I love you, Ashley Davies just the way you are.

“Likewise,” smiled Ashley as she interlocked her fingers with mine. You know that there isn’t one thing I wouldn’t change about you, Spencer Carlin.

    “Really?” I asked.

    “Really,” answered Ashley.

My cell phone rang and I saw the caller id said: Ashley’s house. “Your sister’s probably wondering where we went off to,” I stated.

“We know she was bound to catch up to us sooner or later,” joked Ashley. I’ll answer it. I handed Ashley my cell phone. “Hello?”

    “Where are you?” Kyla asked.

“Spencer and I are hanging out at the park,” answered Ashley with a smile.

“It’s getting late,” Kyla sighed. You two should be on your way home right now.

“Alright, Ky,” said Ashley. I’ll see you in a few. Ashley hung up.

“We have to go?” I asked.

“I’m afraid so, beautiful,” answered Ashley as she got up. I got up as well. “It was nice while it lasted. We were able to shut out the rest of the world for a couple of hours.”

“Yep,” I agreed. Thank for being so great through all this drama.

    “No problem,” smiled Ashley.

A couple days later, Ashley and I were walking to my history class. “Well, this is your stop,” Ashley stated.

    “Yes, it is,” I responded.

“Are you going to be okay?” asked Ashley with concern.

    “I think so,” I answered.

“Good,” smiled Ashley. Ashley kissed me softly on the lips. I intensified the kiss. Ashley stopped the kiss and caressed my cheek. I’ll see you later.

“Yes, you will,” I stated with a smile. Ashley walked away and I watched her leave. I walked into class.

“Looks like the lesbo finally came to class,” sneered Madison.

“Give it a rest, Madison,” I sighed.

“Well, it seems that you’re not as tough without your lapdog coming to your rescue,” stated Madison cruelly.

    “She’s not a lapdog,” I retorted.

“Yes, she is,” said Madison. The girl’s whipped. She’ll do anything you’ll tell her.

    “That’s enough,” I responded angrily.

“Can’t handle the truth?” asked Madison. You and Davies think you’re safe, but your brother and I have the upper hand. Together, you may have a chance to go against us, but alone you’re a scared, weak little girl, Carlin.

Awhile later, I was sitting by myself at the quad. “Hey you,” Ashley stated with a smile.

“Hey,” I said. Madison made a valid point in history today.

“Madison?” asked Ashley. A valid point? Never. I laughed.

“They won’t try to hurt us while we’re together,” I answered with a sigh. They’re going to wait for us to be apart. It’ll be a different story. I put my head down. Ashley raised my chin up.

“I’m scared, too,” admitted Ashley. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

“I didn’t know you were scared, too,” I responded surprised.

“Well, now you do,” began Ashley. I’m scared for both of us. I’m not as scared as I could be because I know I’m not alone during all of this, I have you. I smiled. “We’ll figure a way together.”

    “Alright,” I stated.

“I brought you your favorite,” said Ashley as she handed me a big chocolate chip cookie. I thought it might help brighten your day.

“Thanks,” I replied as I hugged Ashley. Do you want to know a secret?

“Yep,” stated Ashley. What is it, beautiful?

“You’re the sweetest girl I’ve ever known,” I admitted.

    “Likewise,” smiled Ashley.
