“I thought we went over these already. I signed and have a copy of it on file in my office.”

“I know Ashley but this one is for some kind of legal crap something or other…basically it says that you are to produce the album in their time frame of March of next year.”

“Really…hmmm. Well since the album is almost done that won’t be a problem”

“Yeah about that…I have something to tell you.”

“Please don’t tell me I have to re-record the tracks I’ve laid already”

“No actually this is kind of a good thing…I think so anyway”

“Well what is it?”

“They want you to do a double album.”

“Really? Why so suddenly they want more Ashley”

“You know they had their doubts but once they heard what you have been working on they were blown away and they want more of you. They can’t get enough.”

“I have that effect on people”

“Oh cut the crap, you were shitting your pants before I told you the good news.”

“Maybe a little but don’t tell anyone else that”

“Never. Okay now on to the details of this second disc. They want an inside Ashley’s head personal and acoustic version of the album. A few personal interludes with the songs and maybe some exclusive tracks that are specially done for acoustics album.

“This is so great. I can’t believe this. I think I am in love with you and your people who make this stuff happen for me” she hugs Nixon tightly with excitement.

“Okay okay I get it your happy but don’t let this go to your head you still have to get it done and…”

“Oh boy don’t you worry. I have been waiting for this moment forever and I’m not gonna screw it up I just…am…so…EXCITED!!!”

“I can see that we are going in circles now so you run along and celebrate. I will expect you in the studio no later than Friday afternoon missy.”

“I will be there bright and early with bells on…okay maybe no bells but I will be there…well no not bright and early either….but I will be there. You can count on it”

Ashley exits the building and almost screams out her excitement as she makes her way back to her car smiling the entire way there. I can’t wait to tell Spencer. Her phone starts buzzing again. A text message from Spencer. She must have known I was thinking of her.
