“It was something Sasha said… she caught us hugging and could tell we were in love by how we felt to her then.” Kennedy paused and sat completely up reaching for Willow’s hands. “And if what I’m thinking may be in this city IS in this city, I need you to know how much I love you.”

Squeezing Kennedy’s hands, Willow responds, “What are you saying? You’re scaring me a little.”

“It’s scaring me too… a little. We heard the vamps talking about another vamp. By the sounds of it, a powerful vamp. There aren’t that many of those around and Buffy is the only Slayer I know of that has fought the big ones.” Kennedy stops and looks down at her knees. “I… I … I don’t know Will. It may just be a normal one and the ones we got tonight were wimps. But, my gut is telling me that there is a bigger bad here than we thought.”

“Then I should go with you on these tests! I can do… things. I can help you!”

Laughing Kennedy pulls Willow into her arms, “I know you can babe. But, maybe we should talk to Giles about this and find out what the Counsel can see here.” She kisses Willow tenderly. “Not right now though. You still tired by any chance?”

“A little,” Willow says pushing Kennedy down on the bed. Straddling her she asks, “Are you?”

“Yes… but screw sleep! I’d rather have this!” Kennedy pulls Willow down on top of her and kisses her passionately. Pulling away for just a second, Kennedy gazes into Willows eyes. “I never want to be without you,” she says moving the hair from Willow’s forehead.

“You won’t have to be…” Willow whispers back as she continues to kiss Kennedy’s mouth and then moves down her neck to her collarbone.

For a minute, Kennedy feels a rush of elation… and then fear. “Please don’t let me lose her… or me,” she thinks to herself. Willow’s kisses continue and bring Kennedy to that other place she visits only when they are together. A place where Kennedy is more than a Slayer… she’s Willow’s lover and more powerful than a Slayer ever could be.
