"Hey, baby" Ashley greeted Spencer as she got in the car. Spencer kissed Ashley’s cheek.
   "Ready for school?"
   "Pfft, am I ever?"
   "Uh, no. I guess that was a ‘Duh!’ question."
   "Just a bit there, Spence."
   "Oh, well." Spencer shrugged
   "Spence?"
   "yeah, babe?"
   "Wanna go out Saturday? Yano, like dinner and a movie?"
   "I’d love to, Ashley."
   "S-uh-weet."

They pulled into the school parking lot. As soon as Spencer stepped out of the car she was greeted by Aiden.

   "Heya, Spencer."
   "What’s up, Aid?" Ashley came over and leaned against the car beside Spencer.
   "I need a favor, it its not too much to ask." Spencer reached for Ashley’s hand and intertwined their fingers.
   "K, Aid. Shoot."
   "Yano, that blonde babe you were talking to yesterday?"
   "Yeah, Megan."
   "Right, well do you think you could talk to her for me? Maybe get her to go out with me?"
   "Umm, I could try I guess. But Im not so sure that you’re her type."
   "Just talk to her, please?"
   "Okay Aiden." He turns to walk away but then turns back towards the girls.
   "Oh yeah, and Spence?"
   "What?"
   "I’m really happy for you two." Then he walked away.
   "Wow"
   "Yeah, I guess he’s not as empty-headed as I thought he was."
   "Wow." Ashley waved and snapped her fingers in front of Spencer’s face.
   "Earth to Spencer. Earth to Spencer. Hello? Spencer do you copy?"
   "Huh, what?"
   "Welcome back to the real world Spence."
   "Sorry, that just shocked me is all."
   "Yeah, I could tell."

The girls were sitting at a table in the quad. They were just talking about random things when Megan walked up.

   "Hey guys." She sat down across from them.
   "Hey." Spencer turned her attention to the taller blonde.
   "Do they ever serve actual food here?"
   "No, no they don’t." Spencer laughed.
   "So, Megan," Ashley rested her arm around Spencer’s waist. "How was your first day at King High?"
   "It was alright. I think I almost know where most of my classes are."
   "Awesome."
   "Yeah, it takes a while to get used to this place." Spencer added to Ashley’s vague response.
   "Yeah it’s uh pretty big."
   "Yeah, you get used to it though." Ashley removed her arm and stood up. "I’m going to get get a drink. Want anything babe?"
   "Yeah a diet Dr. Pepper." Ashley gave her a stern look and then laughed.
   "Regular Dr. Pepper it is." She leaned down and quickly kissed Spencer. Then she walked off.
   "Thanks baby!" Spencer hollered after her retreating figure. "So, Megan, have you seen anyone you’re interested in yet?"
   "You mean, besides you."
   "Don’t even Megan."
   "What? It’s the truth. Come on you can’t tell me that you’ve forgotten all about me." She scooted closer to Spencer and traced the shorter girl’s jaw line. Spencer swatted her hand away.
   "Don’t. I’m serious." Spencer moved away and thankfully Megan didn’t persue her further. "So, umm, anywa.s I know this guy named Aiden who is interested in you."
   "I’ll think about it." She got up, winked, and walked away. Ashley came back and set a Dr. Pepper in front of Spencer.
   "Thanks." Ashley sat down. She placed her hand on Spencer’s inner thigh.
   "Where’d Mega-bitch, Er um Megan go?"
   "I don’t know."
   "Is she going to go out with Aiden?"
   "She said that she’d think about it."
   "Are you okay?"
   "Yeah, baby, I’m fine." Spencer turned her head and gave Ashley a lingering kiss.
   "Good because when you’re not happy, I’m not complete."
   "Aww, aren’t you a charmer?"
   "Only for you." Ashley squeezed Spencer’s thigh and gave her a loving kiss.
   "Oh yeah and Ash, before I forgot. Dad wants to know if you would like to eat dinner with us tonight?"
   "Well lets see, I could go back to my house and have another T.V. dinner or go to my girlfriend’s house with great good and quality time with my better half. Hmm, its a tough choice." Ashley sat in silence pretedning to debate on which option to choose.
   "Okay, you really shouldn’t think about it for that long." Spencer playfully smacked Ashley’s arm. "Besides you might hurt yourself."
   "Okay, one you should definately konw my answer. And two I’m going to get you back for that comment."
   "Pfft, how?"
   "You’ll find out."
   "Not fair!" Spencer whined. Aiden walked up to them.
   "So…"
   "She said she’d think about it."
   "That’s it?"
   "Yeah"
   "Ok, talk to you later." He walked away. Ashley noticed that Spencer got distant again.
   "What happened when I went to get our drinks?" 
   "Nothing."
   "Spencer, don’t lie. Why are you so distant?"
   "I’m not. Nothing happened. I’m fine." Spencer kept looking down and wouldn’t look Ashley in the eye.
   "Oh my god! She hit on you didn’t she? She tried to put a move on you, didn’t she?"
