CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

Spencer: Hey baby.

Ashley: Hey sweetie. Guess what?

Spencer: What?

Ashley: (excited) I talked to Kyla today after I got home. I apologized to her about everything and we are going to try to be friends.

Spencer: That’s great baby! I’m so happy for you two.

Ashley: We’re going out to eat later and I have a pretty good feeling about it.

Spencer: I’m really proud of you Ash.

Ashley: Well I have you to thank for it. Hey do you think you could come over tomorrow?

Spencer: I wish I could, but Glenn has a basketball tournament so I’m going to watch him play with Clay and my parents. And since it’s in San Diego we are going to spend the night and come home late Sunday.

Ashley: That sucks.

Spencer: Tell me about it. I would much rather spend time with you. Why don’t we do something next weekend. Chelsea and I are actually going to Kyla’s opening night of Romeo and Juliet. You should come. Then after the play we could have a girl’s night.

Ashley: Are you planning on spending the night?

Spencer: If you plan on sharing your bed.

Ashley: Of course.

Spencer: Sounds like a plan. Well, I gotta go finish a paper for English class. Are you picking me up tomorrow morning?

Ashley: I’ll be there.

Spencer: Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow.

Ashley: Bye baby.

Spencer: So how was your night out with Kyla?

Ashley: It went great, we had so much fun.

Spencer: See I knew you would.

Spencer: Ash, what are you doing? I thought you weren’t ready to tell anyone about us until you figured things out?

Ashley: Well I realized that I don’t need to figure anything out. I just know I want to be with you and I don’t want to hide that anymore.

Spencer: Are you sure you’re ready for this?

Ashley: I’ve got you, so I’m ready for anything.

SPENCER’S POV:

So the day went on and everything went pretty smoothly. No one said anything rude towards Ashley and I. I think most people were more shocked than anything. I don’t think anyone expected Ashley to have a girlfriend. Some people came up and asked us questions, which got annoying. Anyway, it’s lunchtime now and Ashley and I are meeting Chelsea and Kyla at our table.

Chelsea: Hey you two. (notices they’re holding hands.) Awww, ya’ll are so cute together.

Spencer: Thanks Chels, so are you and Kyla.

Kyla: What?

Spencer: Relax Kyla it was a joke.

Kyla: Oh, I knew that. So is everyone coming to my play Saturday night?

Chelsea: Yeah, we wouldn’t miss it.

Spencer: Speaking of Saturday, Ash and I were talking about having a girl’s night after the play.

Kyla: Hey that sounds like fun. Wait are you and Ashley going to be making out the whole time?

Ashley: I don’t know, she’s pretty hard to resist.

Spencer: Okay Kyla I’ll make you a deal, Ashley and I won’t spend the whole night making out if you and Chelsea don’t have any pillow fights.

Chelsea & Kyla: Sorry.

Kyla: Okay no pillow fights and no making out for you two.

Spencer: Deal.

Ashley: This deal sucks.

Spencer: Come on Ash, I can control myself if you can.

Ashley: That’s the thing, I can’t control myself, not when I’m around you.

Spencer: Awww baby. (to Kyla) Okay new deal.
