The Princess and The Puppet – (Chapter: Crazy For This Girl)

    CHAPTER FOURTEEN

    SPENCER’S POV:

English class went by pretty slowly. I didn’t even get to talk to Ashley considering she sits in the front of the class and I am all the way in the back. At least I have history class with her. Now I am at lunch with Chelsea and we are waiting for Kyla to get here.

Chelsea’s thoughts: I can’t believe Spencer has a crush on Ashley. But then again maybe I’m wrong. I could have just been an innocent smile. Oh who am I kidding she is totally crazy about that girl. This is not good, she doesn’t know what she is getting herself into.

Chelsea: So Spencer, you never told me who your crush was.

    Spencer starts smiling to herself.

Spencer: Okay, I’ll tell you but you have to keep this between us. (Chelsea nods.) It’s Ashley Davies.

Chelsea’s thoughts: I knew it. I need to warn her about Ashley before she gets hurt, and before she finds out Ashley is Kyla’s half sister.

Chelsea: Spencer, I don’t mean to burst your bubble but Ashley Davies isn’t exactly the nicest person to be around.

Spencer: Chelsea what are you talking about? Ashley is one of the nicest people I have met since I have been here.

Chelsea: Look, I just want you to be careful. I have known Ashley for a long time and people don’t exactly use the word ‘nice’ when they describe her, the word ‘bitch’ is more like it.

I can’t believe what Chelsea is saying. It just doesn’t add up. I mean the Ashley that I met is not a bitch by any means. Maybe Chelsea just hasn’t talked to her one-on-one before.

Spencer: I appreciate you looking out for me Chelsea but I think there is more to Ashley than meets the eye.

Chelsea: Just be careful okay, I don’t want to see you get hurt.

Spencer: Don’t worry I’ll be fine.

    ASHLEY’S POV:

It’s finally lunchtime and I have to find Madison. I still can’t believe she went behind my back like that. I finally see her making out with one of her boy toys, Jason Miller, over by the table.

Ashley: Madison I need to talk to you.

Madison: Can it wait, I’m kind of busy.

Ashley: Hey Jason, I think I see your girlfriend coming this way. You might want to get out of here before she kicks your ass in front of everyone…again.

Jason nervously starts looking around for his girlfriend and scurries off.

Madison: Alright, Davies, what do you need to talk about that is so important?

Ashley: Amy and Heather said you taught the squad a new routine, without telling me. Was there a problem with the routine I choreographed?

Madison: Ashley, let’s face it your routine just wasn’t cutting it. Someone had to step up and do something about it.

Ashley: Madison in case you have forgotten I am the captain of squad, not you. That means I make the decisions and the routines.

Madison: You know you have gotten really arrogant lately. Someone needs to take you down a notch, and I’ll be the one to do that when I win the bet. I will be the squad’s new captain and you, well, you will be just a freak, right along with the rest of them.

Ashley: Are you kidding me? You must be on meds if you think I am going to fall for Spencer. That girl is putty in my hands and its only a matter of time before I win the bet and those earrings are mine.

Madison: You see that’s where you’re wrong, because we both know she is already getting to you. And you want to know the best part about it, (Madison whispers into Ashley’s ear.) you can’t stop it.
