The College Life – (Chapter: Chapter 4: Trust)

After I make it into my dorm, I race to my room to tell Kyla, after an amazing night with an amazing guy, I’m bursting to tell someone and since I don’t have Ashley’s number or anything yet then Kyla’s the only person I can tell.

I burst in my room to find Kyla sitting on her bed on her laptop. She must see the excitement in my face because she has this confused and exciting look of her own.

“Hey. You okay? You look like you’re about to burst.” She says, putting her laptop to the side and scooting so her legs are hanging off her bed.

“Oh, I am just great!” I say, falling on my bed. My smile doesn’t seem to fade.

“Well where have you been all night? With that Ashley girl? She doesn’t seem too nice.”

“No I haven’t been with Ashley.” It was at this moment that I wasn’t thinking of Ashley at all during my date with Aiden. That came off as odd to me since I was thinking about her all day. “And anyway, she didn’t mean to be mean to you at the restaurant, she’s just really protective over herself. I talked to her about it and she’s okay with you now. But anyways, I was with this guy from my chemistry class and he is amazing. He’s so cute and sweet. He’s just so amazing.” I say feeling the rush of excitement again.

“Wow. Sounds like you had a good night. Who is he?”

“Aiden Dennison. I met him in my chemistry class. I just can’t get over how amazing he was all night. He was so nice, and he actually listened when I talked and seemed interested, totally unlike any of the other guys I’ve dated. We arranged another date this weekend.”

“He sounds like a keeper. Don’t let him get away.” Kyla says, sounding excited.

I barely slept that night. I was too excited to tell Ashley about my night with Aiden. When I get to my class Ashley isn’t there yet so I save a seat for her. When she does get to class and sits down beside me, I’m guessing the look on my face was identical to the one I gave Kyla because Ashley’s face mirrored Kyla’s expression from last night.
