I open the door to find a girl lying in Ashley’s bed facing in the opposite direction exposing her naked back to me. I can’t help but nearly laugh at what I’m looking at and look back to Ashley with a look of disbelief and shake my head to her. I hear the girl stir and look back to her.

“Are you ready for seconds?” The girl asks lazily, only to open her eyes and find that it’s not Ashley standing at the door. She then grabs at the sheets on her chest and pulls them up to her neck. I look back at Ashley and just shake my head as I walk towards the door.

“No, Spencer please. Let me explain.” Ashley pleads as she runs after me before I meet the front door.

“Explain?” I ask her laughing, thinking she’s joking. “You want to explain a naked girl in your bed while we’re lying on your couch making out? You want to explain to me how you were about to sex me up while there’s a chick you’ve already slept with tonight in your bed a few feet away from us?” I now feel the anger building up in me. “Okay Ashley, go ahead. Explain away.” I say and fold my arms in anticipation.

She stands there silent as I find the tables are turned from where they were earlier tonight. “I didn’t know you were coming over Spencer. If I would have known then she wouldn’t have been here and none of this would be happening.” Her eyes are pleading but I’m not falling for it.

“And that makes it better? If I would have made plans to come over here then you wouldn’t have slept with her tonight. But what about tomorrow night; would you have slept with her then? You tried to tell me that you’ve changed from those pictures but you haven’t, and it’s pretty obvious right now.”

“Spencer, I’m sorry, this wasn’t supposed to happen. I do like you. A lot.”

I simply shake my head and walk out of her door feeling more devastated than ever. We’re not together and we never were but I can’t help but feel my heart break. The walk back to my dorm was dark and lonely and the fact that Ashley didn’t come after me makes me realize that she’s not who she said she was. She’s not the person I thought she was. She’s not the one for me.
