"finish your story" Spencer eventually said after I had finished the entire pizza. I looked down at her box, she’d only eaten 3 slices. I felt my cheeks going red.

"we need to find out who wants you dead. I need to kill them before they kill you"

"do you really have to kill?"

"yes"

"Why?"

"Because it’s what I do" I got up, tired of the conversation. I took the boxes off the bed and placed them on one of the tables in the room.

"I’m going to bed now"

"Aren’t you afraid I’m going to escape?" I wasn’t really but I didn’t want her to know that. I grabbed my handcuffs again and walked over to Spencer, she knew what I was doing and lifted her arm. I glanced over and noticed there was no bed post. I had nothing to handcuff her too. She stood there grinning at me, acting smug.

"Oh no what are you going to do?" a real mocking voice. I shook my head

"you annoy me so much" I lifted my hand and handcuffed myself to her.

I dropped down onto the floor which forced her down onto the bed.

"we’re sleeping like this?" she glanced down to me lying down on the floor my handcuffed arm dangling uncomfortably in the air.

"I’ve slept worse before now go to bed"

"Fine" she turned around to face the other way almost pulling my arm off. I sighed

"you did that on purpose" I heard her laugh and narrowed my eyes

"I wish I killed you when I had the chance" I closed my eyes willing myself to go to sleep.

That didn’t happen, Spencer was tossing and turning pulling my arm. I stood up, the room was dark, I looked down at her then at the pillow. Oh how easy it would’ve been to smother her. I shook the thoughts out of my head. I was softening up around this girl, I was getting too involved. This wasn’t good.

I started shaking her and she opened her eyes

"what?" she was still so sleepy

"stop moving around"

"I can’t help it, I don’t normally sleep handcuffed to somebody. It really would make it a lot easier if you were on the bed with me. Then I could at least move my arm a bit"
