That Girl. – (Chapter: A Friendship, That’s It.)

"Ashley."  Aiden yelled before he grabbed her into a hug.

    "Hey Aiden."  She smiled.

"Me next."  Glen yelled as he hugged Ashley too.

The body guards had roped off the area,  but we had a significant crowd now that Ashley was outside the bus.  Apparently, news travels fast when Ashley Davies is around.

"Spence."  Ashley said, and I almost died right there.  I have heard her say my name so many times since I’ve last seen her, but I never imagined it’d happen right here.

"Ash."  We just stared at each other.  I didn’t know what to do.  Before I could say anything, she had her arms around me.  I melted instantly.  Like I said, I’ll always love her.  I just can’t be with her.

"Can we talk?"  She asked pulling back.

"I think we need to."  I said smiling.

We walked onto her tour bus leaving Aiden and Glen standing there.

"So, let me start.  I’m sorry for constantly talking about you.  I’m sorry for showing your picture, and I’m sorry for telling everyone your life story.  It is just that is the only way I can deal with you being gone.  That is the only way I don’t cry every single day.  I miss you so much, and it hurts."  She said looking so hurt.

"I know.  And, it really doesn’t bother me.  I mean, when people tell me they want me just because they want to be with the girl that Ashley Davies wants kind of sucks.  And, I really love it when girls tell me I’m a moron for it.  I just can’t deal Ashley.  I love you too.  You know that.  I just can’t deal with those girls all over you.  It still hurts."  I said.

"I know.  Spence, will you at least be my friend?  I need you in my life."  She said looking so helpless.

"Of course.  I’ve missed you a lot."  She wrapped her arms around my waist as I hugged her tight.

"I want to call you every single day."  She said.

"Ok.  But, don’t say that you will if you don’t."  I said.

"Trust me.  I will not lose you again."  She smiled at me.

"We aren’t back together."  I said.

"I know, but I’d rather be your friend than nothing.  I need to hear your voice."  She said, and my heart melted.

"Ashley, we’ve got to head down the road."  Her tour manager said.

"I know."  She looked back at me.  "I’m so glad you came tonight.  And, I promise to call."  She said.

She kissed me on the cheek, and I walked off the bus.  I was still holding on to my cheek.

The next day I woke up peacefully.  Last night had gone a lot better than I thought.  My phone rang, and I knew it wasn’t Ashley already.

    "Hey Spence."  It was Glen.

    "Hey."  I said sleepily.

"I think you should go to the store and check out US Weekly."  He said.

    "Why?"  I asked.

    "Just do it."  He said.

So, I put on some clothes, and I left.  I just bought the magazine in the store.  The front said, "Ashley Davies’ Love Life."

When I opened to the page it said, I almost died.  There were three pictures.  One was of her hugging me in the parking lot.  The other was of me walking onto her bus.  The next one was of me walking off her bus.  However, it was very well photoshoped to make it look like it was the next morning instead of fifteen minutes later.

    I called Glen back.

"Are you kidding me?  This is exactly why I didn’t want to get back involved with her."  I said.

"I know, but don’t take it out on her.  It isn’t her fault."  He said.

    "I know."

I hung up the phone, and I really couldn’t wait for Ashley to call me.

    1. What peeves me about Spencer is the fact that she blames Ashley for everything that is happening, when Ashley has no control over it…Spencer needs to grow up…pms
