Teenage Wasteland – (Chapter: I don't need to fight to prove I'm right)

    Teenage Wasteland

“hey so did you ask what’s her face to prom yet?” I asked Aiden sitting on the couch with him

“oh yeah…” he told me “…I thought I already told you”

“uh no?” I replied hoping he didn’t tell me and I forgot…

“oh well, yeah I did…what are you doing on Friday night since I wont be here?” he said

“who knows…” I told him “…probably get another tattoo, you know…”

“no! you promised every time you got one I could go!”

“I’m kidding…calm down” I said laughing at him then he was a little embarrassed

“yeah but anyways…” he said changing the subject “…what’s up with you and Spencer lately? I mean ever since we got back from our little road trip like two weeks ago you’ve been…different around each other”

    “I don’t know what you’re talking about…” I told him

“yeah you do…” he told me “…the sideways glances and finishing each other’s sentences, are you sure there’s not more going on and you’re just not telling me?” he asked

“okay…we kissed, on the trip but that’s it…there hasn’t been anything since we got back”

“no way…when?” he asked me feeling left out

“actually twice…” I told him “…the morning after the club then on the beach when you were gone”

“I feel so left out…” he told me

    “sorry I didn’t tell you…” I told him

“whatever, I’m over it…” he said “…but how was it?”

    “good…” I told him

    “just good?”

“okay it was more than good…but it was just kissing” I said then he just smiled at me and shook his head “what?” I asked him laughing then my phone rang before he could answer “hello?”

“hey…” Spencer said on the other line

“hey what’s up?” I asked her

“uh…I think your buzzer is broken, you think you could come let me in?” she asked

“uh yeah hold on…” I told her then I got up and started walking towards my door “…are you in the front or back?” I asked her

    “uh front…” she told me

“okay” I said “I’ll be right down” I told her then I hung up the phone and went into the elevator and then it let me out in the lobby and I went to the door and opened it to Spencer holding a dozen red roses and I was really confused “did I not get a memo or something?” I asked her making her laugh
