Take My Air
“Yeah… I know.” The girl replied, face flushed as she looked at the floor. She hated just how un-cool Spencer seemed to make her, but at the same time it was nice to be vulnerable once in a while. “So does it hurt?”
“Not really… I’ve got more drugs in my system than Tommy Lee at the moment though, so I can’t be sure.” Joked Spencer, enjoying the smile her comment brought to the brunette beside her.
“You know, after you got shot, that Nick kid whose always staring at you clocked Ian over the head with a chair. He was really upset.” Ashley commented, curious as to how Spencer would take it.
“Wow…” Spencer looked honestly surprised, her brows lifting. She’d never really pegged the soft spoken boy for being the type to wield chairs as weapons.
“Yeah, Ian is lucky Nick got to him first… Or I would have-” Ashley paused, miming a strangling motion with her hands. Spencer laughed, rolling her eyes at the girls theatrical antics.
“Your out of your mind.” Spencer spoke, shifting slightly onto her side. She had the be very delicate with her left side where the wound was, and even that small movement made her flinch.
“Says the girl who tried to take a gun away from a crazy person.” Ashley replied, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Ian wasn’t crazy, he was just confused…” Spencer defended, brows lowering somewhat as she studied the brunette.
“No, confused is being lost in downtown LA. That nutcase was crazy.” Ashley smirked, sinking lower into her chair.
“Eh… Your lucky I’m drugged up or else I’m sure I’d have a witty comeback.” Spencer retorted waving her hand dismissively. She was getting tired again, and the girl was having trouble keeping her eyes open.
“Oh sure, blame the drugs.” Ashley teased, although she soon realized Spencer had fallen asleep. She rose to her feet and peered down at her, her expression soft and caring.
“I’m really glad your okay Spence… I would have been devastated with out you… ” Ashley whispered down to her sleeping form, her hand softly brushing over Spencer’s palm. Spencer groaned, her hand subconsciously encompassing Ashley’s as a small, dreamy smile lifted her lips.
Ashley felt her entire body warm as her heart swelled, eyes staring adoringly down at Spencer, “I love you.”
