Christine insisted that she go home and get some rest, yet Paula was determined to take care of her.  She wanted to stay by her side the rest of the night.  Paula didn’t think that it was appropriate for Christine to stay at her home just in case Arthur came back, so she went with her to her home.   Although things were out in the open now, Paula was still shocked to see the remnants of Ashley and Spencer’s love making as the bed and candles were still in the living room when they arrived at her home.  She pushed it back in her mind remembering how much Spencer had helped her tonight.  Ashley and Spencer were outside on Ashley’s patio talking into the night.

“Wow…Ash…what a night?  What time is it?”

“It’s about 3:45 in the morning”

“I still can’t believe my dad.”

“Well, you know he had a lot of built of resentment.  Maybe he and your mom were having problems you know…intimate problems,” Ashley said trying to be careful with her words.  She knew that it may be a sensitive subject even though Spencer didn’t act like it.

“Maybe…”  Spencer scooted closer to Ashley on the patio sofa.

Ashley kissed her forehead as the blonde lay her head on her chest.  “Spencer….”

“Yeah…”

“Let’s always tell each other how we feel about each other.  Let’s never let things get between us like our moms did.”

Spencer could tell that Ashley was a little nervous about their future.  With all the drama tonight, who wouldn’t be?  She tried to lighten the situation.  “Wow…you know I hadn’t thought about it in this way yet.  But if our moms date, would we be sisters and lovers?”

Ashley frowned at a smiling Spencer.  “Babe…ewww….noo…it’s not our fault that they had history …and besides we’re not blood related….And …I think that even though they love each other…that …umm…your mom is going to still be with your dad…”

“What!  How can you say that?  She loves Christine.”

“I’m mean I love my mom, but aren’t you a little sad about her breaking up your dad and your mom? 

“I don’t know.  I am, but I’m not.  I know that my dad still loves me, but then I understand what my mom is going through too.”
