“Come on Bella!” Alice squealed. “We’ve got to get to school!”
       I groaned. “Fine!”

I hated going to school over and over and over and over again. It gets old. I mean, you can only get so smart. Once you get there, you don’t even have to pay attention…
“Maybe you’ll find a cute guy,” she said teasingly.
“Even if I do,” I said firmly. “I can’t be with him. I’ll kill him.”
“They’d happily die for you,” she informed me.
       I nodded. “I know.”’

You know what sucks? I’m living in a house of seven vampires, one of those being me. I’m the only one who’s been alone all my time on earth. All seventy four years.
       No. I don’t look seventy-four. I’m physically seventeen.
Alice pulled me out to my black Volvo.

I got in the driver’s seat, now aware that everyone else was already in the back waiting.
It was one of those convertible, newer, modern versions of a Volvo.

I pulled out of the driveway, aware that I was going about a hundred fifty.

“The Volturi are going to try again soon,” Alice informed me.

I groaned. “I don’t want to live with them. End of story. How hard is that for them to grasp?”
“Obviously,” Emmett said simply. “Really hard. I mean, you’re really fast, strong, and you’ve got that shield. Bella, I see why they’re so persistent.”
I sighed. “I wish they would just leave me alone.”
“We all do,” Alice said softly. “And I know how you feel.”
That was true. She was about the only one who did though.

Here’s another day of forever. A forever that’s never going to end. It’s just going to drag on, and on, and on, and on.

I wasn’t going to die, and I was never going to find the guy for me.

And I’m so not going lesbo.
