Sting of the Whip – (Chapter: The Calling)

After endless days and sleepless nights, Spencer and Kennedy were getting colder and colder. Transylvania must be getting close. Spencer knew that she lived close enough to Transylvania to be considered in it. But now that she was going IN it, she regretted ever meeting Kennedy. The cold air, the hard ground, all of it was proving to be way to much on er body. Falling to the ground from exhustian happened often. So often that Kennedy would stand in front of her to make sure she didn’t hurt herself when she did fall. The slayer too was having complications with the dramatic climate change, but she didn’t show it. Sarah and Gaby didn’t like the cold either. But Mandy and Shadow were loving every minute of it. Now that they were reaching the heart of the country, and Ashley’s home, Shadow would make more frequent stops along the way. Sending out calls to Ashley. Mandy would help sometimes. Spencer thought her ears would explode the first time she heard the irritating call. It was like a high pitched screech. Much worse than a chalkboard. As the nights became more and more unhabitable, Shadow decided it was best to just keep going until they reached the castle. After all it was only about 2 football fields away, according to Shadow. The night was young, the moon was high.

    Shadow: "Do ya’ll hear that?"

    Spencer: "Hear what?"

Kennedy: "Sounds like the shivering of my body. It’s freezing out here."

Spencer :"Kennedy, wait I hear it too."

    Sarah: "…AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

Kennedy grabbed Spencer’s hand and started running although the blonde really had no idea what she was running from.

    Spencer: "Kennedy what’s-"

Kennedy: "I don’t know just run!"

    Spencer: "Where?!"

Kennedy: "We’re not going to stop to find out!"

They 6 bodies kept running. They ran and ran until they couldn’t run anymore. Panting and holding their knees, they looked at each other.

    Spencer: "*cough* Is it gone?"

    Sarah: "*huff* I don’t*puff* know."

    Mandy: "What was it?"

    Kennedy: "Spencer. Look."

Spencer looked out in front of them. A huge mountain was standing in their way.

Spencer: "Charlie was right. Over this mountain. Come on-"

Mandy: "Did no one hear me just now? What was just after us?"

Spencer: "I don’t know but we have to get over this mountain.
