Sting of the Whip – (Chapter: Gone Without A Trace)
Spencer went back in the hut after she was sure the slayers were asleep.
"This has got to be the stupidest plan I have ever constructed. I mean seriously. The second I get away from trouble I go back in it. Now where is that spatula?"
Spencer rambled through some kitchen drawers until she found a spatula.
"A-Ha! HEre. Now I gotta go dig. O God please don’t let her kill me. Please please please don’t let her kill me."
Spencer went to the backyard and found the spot where her Mother dug up the baby vampire.
"Okay Spencer. Maybe I should say good-bye to Clay and Mom and Dad and Glen. No it would be to hard. And I’d just chicken out. Okay Spencer here we go now. Just dig right here. No here. Oh God please let me get into Heaven when I die."
The blonde used the spatula to dig, along with her fingers. The hole was about maybe 4 inches when she finally started to feel something boney.
"Oh good the body. I mean oh no the body! Come on Spencer. Be brave. this is for the good of all those poor defensless vampires. Just bring it out of the ground gently."
Her hands were still as she picked up the skeleton of the dead baby. It was so little that it fit right in her palm.
"I’m going to Hell just for this. Digging up babies come on Spencer. She probably won’t even come."
She turned her head to the right. Looking at the forest. Then to the left. Not a sound came from either direction.
"Come on Charlie I need you."
A couple Miles North…
Charlie was standing up along a tree watching her clan sleep under the bright stars. A feeling of uneasiness came over her. Something wasn’t right. This same feeling came when her cousin was captured by Buffy. But when she got away the feeling went with her. This felt as if someone was tugging at her memories of her childhood.
Charlie: "Ellie."
Ellie opened her eyes and stood up from her spot in the dirt.
Ellie: "Yes leader?"
Charlie: "I feel a disturbance."
Ellie: "…I feel it too. What shall we do?"
