    AU. Ashley is in high school and is falling for an older Spencer.

    Ashley’s POV

    So it’s been three months. Scary right?  

    The last time you heard from me I was on certain bus with a certain blonde and a  broken heart.  Remember that?  Well, I don’t.  I’ve moved on. I’m happy now.  I’m completely and positively and absolutely perf-

    “Ashley hurry!”

    Shit…

    I rush down the stairs and my mom is standing in the doorway still applying makeup.  I grab my cap and gown from the table beside the door and follow her out.  

    “Where’s your purse?” she calls over her shoulder.

    “Liza is bringing it.  I left it at her place last night.”

    My mother just rolls her eyes and unlocks the mustang.  She’s annoyed because I gave my dad permission to miss my graduation to go on tour.  She just doesn’t get it.  You can’t keep a man from his love.  Hell you can’t keep anyone from love.

    She’s talking, rambling on and about schedules and parties and engagements, but I’m not listening.  This is it, the end of my high school career, the beginning of a new chapter in my life.  This is that perfect moment that every kid dreams about and every adult remembers.  This is the big day!  I wonder, then, why my head hurts, my palms are sweating, and instead of felling great, I feel lowsy, empty almost.  I’ve felt this way for a while.  Three months to be exact.  Three long moths…

    “I’m so sorry Ash…”  Liza says pulling me into her arms and I believe her.  She truly is.  She always is.  I try to erase today’s events from my mind.  I try to forget Pete’s smile and Franklin’s beers.  I try to forget Jill’s fire-red hair and Sunshine’s chocolate skin.  I try to forget Spencer’s pale blue eyes, the way just a glance form her makes the breath catch in my throat.

    “I just wanna lay here for a while if that’s okay…” I say to no one really, ad Liza just settles down into the sofa. She wraps both arms about my shoulders and rest my head on her chest.  She smells like peppermint.  She plants three soft kisses on my forehead and I can’t help but smile.

    This is what it should always be like, this simple.  Liza is my friend and she loves me unconditionally.  She would never hurt me, ever.  I could lie in her arms forever.

    11. 3 MONTHS?!!!!! That’s like an eternity for them! And Ashley…with Liza. That’s not supposed to happen, and Spencer should dump Aiden already. I’m with Dallas111, I think she might have been there and saw Ashley and Liza kissing. This story is friggin AWESOME!!! PMASAP!!!!!!!

    13. I’m wondering if after 3 months Spencer decided to go to Ashley’s graduation and upon arriving she witnessed Ashley and Liza kissing…perhaps that is why she called and hung up after her quick congratulatory statement. Your writing never ceases to amaze me…PMS
