Shit Happens – (Chapter: chapter 1.1 Morning after)

    1.1 Spencer pov

I awoke with the sounds of birds chirping and soft rays cascading through the room illuminating everything with it’s touch. My body still drowsy from sleep, I partly opened my eyes, feeling the suns warmth caress across my face. My body still yearned for the rest the previous night did not fulfill. I turned my head into my pillow burying it more deeply not wanting to wake up completely . I felt Madison’s naked form next to me, her arms still very much attached to my waist. I open my eyes completely then.

I turned myself over to face her, doing so ever so slowly as not to wake her. As I faced her I let my blue eyes absorb her features. Raising my hand I tucked a loose strand of her hair away from her face. I let my eyes just rest on her , watching the play of light dance across her features. A small smile forming on her lips. Her face held such a soft expression, such peace upon it. I felt myself get lost just looking at her, I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to leave. Suddenly everything comes rushing in my head and my mind starts racing. All my thoughts  jumbled up with conflicting emotions. After all I just slept with my girlfriends worst enemy.

I guess having your heart broken makes you do crazy things. Ashley. God just thinking her name brings up all the pain again.. Madison was right when she said that I’d get burned too. If only it didn’t hurt this bad I could live through this if she had just told me the truth even if she broke up with me. The lies, the betrayal were too much for me to bare. Which I guess is what brings me to my current situation with Madison. *sighs* I lean my head back against the headboard turning my head down and letting my gaze fall upon Madison .
I knew what I was doing, what am I going to do now. I’m so screwed. I thought to myself.

    I thought to myself.
Madison started to move her head closer to me

She looks so…… happy. I thought to myself, giving out a small sigh. I guess should head home, I’m probably grounded. I slowly slid my body out of bed making sure to wrap my body in one of the blankets. I gently pried away Madison’s arm, that laid across my waist. I looked around the room as I sat their. Our clothes were strewn all around the room. As I was about to stand up and leave the bed I felt her hand touch my shoulder. I didn’t look back at her, didn’t let her see my face unsure how to react around her now.

“Spencer” I took a deep breath

    “Yeah?” I said.

    “About last night, I….. uh…hmmm.. I”

“What? Are you worried I‘m going to tell someone?” I say with a sharp edge.

“Spence…” I turned my head, finally facing her.

I looked at her and noticed how the suns warm glow softened her features. Her deep green eyes held something behind them of what I couldn’t say.

“Spence…. Do…ah” I could see her struggling to say something more

“Do you regret last night?” she said in a small voice that’s so unlike her.

I looked into her eyes, and thought to myself Am I really okay with last night? the truth is I don’t really know. But the look in her eyes are pleading for some kind of answer. An answer I don’t know I have.
