Shadows of Pain – (Chapter: ch 6)
“What room do you want Spence? Hurry so I can tell the others before they pick it, otherwise I’m gonna have to kick their asses out” I said laughing at her. She smiled softly in return and pointed to the second to last door at the end of the hallway. I nodded quickly and yelled out to the others not to take that room and they seemed okay with that because they all picked the others that were available.
“So who am I gonna be sharing a bathroom with? Because everybody seems to have their ‘partners’ so to speak” she said, starring straight ahead.
I cleared my throat and started walking down the hallway. I turned around to face her as I kept walking and answered her.
“You’ll be sharing with me. That last bedroom is mine and you so happened to pick the one that is on the other end of my bathroom” I said as I winked at her before turning around and helping the others unpack. I was smirking inside because I was excited to be sharing a bathroom with Spencer. I mean, of all the bedrooms she could have picked, she picked the one that is shared with me.
Turns out that the people sharing a bathroom would be Aiden and Madison, Chelsea and Kyla, Clay and Sean and last but not least…me and Spencer.
“So if you guys need anything just let me know okay? I’m in the room at the end of the hall” I said as I said bye to all of them and started walking towards Spencer’s room.
I looked through her open door and leaned against the doorframe, crossing my legs at the ankles and crossing my arms over my chest. Spencer already had everything unpacked which seems about right because for some reason she didn’t bring much with her. She was sitting on the floor with her back to the bed, facing the wall, listening to her iPod with her eyes closed. I couldn’t help but stare at her. She was definitely beautiful. She didn’t wear any make-up and I liked that about her, natural beauty is what’s real, well at least to me it is. She looked so empty, so lost. And my heart hurt for her. I didn’t know much about her except that she was sent here because of her anger problem and her lashing out at her step-mom all of the time. I sighed inwardly and stared at Spencer for a few more seconds before pushing myself off her doorframe and making my way to my room. I need to snap out of whatever I’m starting to feel towards Spencer. It can’t happen. I won’t let it happen…
