    Saving Grave. – (Chapter: Promises.)

"Now, singing and playing guitar, Aiden Carlin."  The announcer said.  Aiden walked out slowly with his guitar in hand.  He looked so cute.  Ashley began taking pictures like crazy.  Everyone around knew that Spencer was his adopted mother, but they had no idea who Ashley was.  A few husbands looked at her, and their wifes didn’t like it at all.  Every parent knew that Spencer liked the ladies instead of the men.

"So, this song is called "You Want To Make A Memory.  It’s by Bon Jovi.  I hope you like it."  He began to play after a few cheers form the parents.  They knew this song.

Hello again, it’s you and me
Kinda always like it used to be
    Sippin’ wine, killing time
    Trying to solve life’s mysteries

    How’s your life, it’s been a while
God it’s good to see you smile
I see you reaching for your keys
Looking for a reason not to leave

If you don’t know if you should stay
If you don’t say what’s on your mind
    Baby just breathe
There’s nowhere else tonight we should be

    You wanna make a memory?

I dug up this old photograph
Look at all that hair we had.
It’s bittersweet to hear you laugh
Your phone is ringing I don’t wanna ask

If you go now, I’ll understand
If you stay, hey, I’ve got a plan
    We’re gonna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You can sing the melody to me
And I can write a couple of lines

    You wanna make a memory?

If you don’t know if you should stay
And you don’t say what’s on your mind
    Baby just breathe
There’s nowhere else tonight we should be
    We Should be

    You wanna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You can sing the melody to me
And I can write a couple of lines

    You wanna make a memory?

When he finished the whole audience stood up to cheer.  Ashely and Spencer did too, and that was when they realized that their hands were still intertwined together.  They’d been holding hands the whole time.  Aiden won first place.

"That was amazing sweetie."  Spencer and Ashley both said at the same time.

"Thanks."  A lot of parents were coming up congraduating him along with some of his class mates.  "Mom, can I stay with Justin Friday night?"  He asked.

"Of course honey.  Where is Justin’s mom?"  She asked.

    "She’s coming right now."

"Hey Spencer."  Justin’s mom, also known as Jessica said.

    "Hey Jess.  This is Ashley."

Jessica shook Ashley’s hand.  "Is this your girlfriend?"  She asked Spencer.  She knew Spencer was gay, and she didn’t care at all.

"Well, not exactly.  This is Aiden’s birth mother."  She said.

"Oh.  Cool.  So, I’ll just pick the boys up from school on Friday.  He can stay as long as he wants on Saturday.  I’ll have him call you when he’s ready to come home."  She said.

    "Ok.  That sounds good."

They were all walking outside.  Ashley was standing by her car, and Aiden was waiting in Spencer’s.

    "So, Friday."  Spencer began.

"Yes, I want to hang out with you."  Ashley grinned.

"I was thinking about dinner and a movie at my place."  Spencer said.

"That sounds good  to me."  Ashley said.  "Only if you promise me something though."

"What is that?"  Spencer said with a smile.

"You’ll call me everyday between now and then.  I’ll admit that I can’t go a day without talking to you."  Ashley said.

"Yeah, me either.  I promise I’ll call if you promise me something."  Spencer grinned.

    "Anything."  Ashley said.

Spencer got really close to Ashley’s ear, and she wasn’t sure what was about to happen.

"After dinner on Friday, we get to have desert."  With that, Spencer kissed Ashley on the cheek.  She got in the car, and she left leaving Ashley standing there with the biggest smile on her face.

"Oh, you are so on Carlin."  She whispered to no one.
