Chapter 5- Meet Ashley Davies

“I got a message, I got a message!”

“Oh shut up with all of that.” Kali yelled as I ran over to my computer. I had been waiting all night for a message back from my new friend. What else was I to do it’s not like people are beating down my door to be friends with me.

“Whatever one arm,” I laughed as Kali rolled her eyes and walked in the kitchen to fix, or try to fix with that one arm, her a bowl of cereal.

I looked at the message and blushed to myself. This girl was pretty awesome she had just poured her heart out to me and now was my turn.

True Friend

I love reading your message. It just told me so much about you while stilling leaving things out for me to ask about. I am glad that your mom and you get along now. I wish I can say the same for my mom. It’s not that I am gay because my mom could care less about that. She could care less about anything that happens in my life. But, I don’t even want to talk about that. I am just so excited that I get to talk to you again. Your dad and brother seem cool. I bet its great having them around to help with your mom and stuff. I have a little sister myself. She is the best. She thinks of me more as a mother because my mom is not around. My dad is great too even though I only get to see him two weekends out of the month because of the divorce plan my parents have and because he does not live in LA. He is some big producer and he lives in Michigan, but always goes to Atlanta to handle business. I love visiting him in Atlanta and even thought my little sister is not his he lets me bring her along. She even thinks he is her father as well and he wouldn’t have it any other way. See my dad is cool too. So we have two cool dads. What else can I tell you about myself? Oh yea I write music and poetry a lot. I want to be a writer when I get out of school. I plan on going to UCLA and major English and minor in music. Surprise, since I hate school, but English can really help my writing. But I don’t know what else to write. Umm… I love vanilla ice cream. I can eat that all day and when I am sad my sister always makes it in order to cheer me up. She is the best. I also love singing, but I don’t want to be a singer because it tears families apart. I believe family is the most important thing and I cannot imagine being away from them do some stupid tour. So I will write the music instead. Still ripping families apart but, not my family, so not my problem. Joking that’s just a joke. But hey I am going to go now because I have to clean up after this little brat who just wasted cereal all over the floor. Well have a great morning. Hope to talk later.
