“Proud? How can I be proud of this?” She said motioning back and forth between her daughter and Ashley. “This is not right….I condoned your relationships with your past girl…’friends’ but this is too much.”
“I never asked you to condone my relationships all I asked was that you respected me like a normal human being!”
“Well if you expect me to give you my blessing then you can forget it.” Paula said crossing her arms.
“I don’t need your blessing…I have Dad’s and really that’s all the blessing I need.”
“Arthur? You gave them…your blessing? How could you do that to me?” Paula said glaring at her husband.
“I didn’t do anything to you Paula. Girls…why don’t you head back up to the cabin. Paula and I need to talk.”
Ashley and Spencer nodded their heads and gathered the basket and headed back towards the cabin. They could hear Spencer’s parents continue to yell at one another but their voices faded out as they approached the entrance of the cabin.

“I’m so proud of you Spence.” Ashley said taking Spencer’s hand and squeezing.
“I just can’t believe she’s my mother…” Spencer said shaking her head.
“I don’t want to make excuses for her especially since she pisses me off…but she does care for you…in her own way…she may not know how to show it but she does care.”
“I don’t know why I thought this was actually going to work.” Spencer said looking at the brunette.
“We tried at least…now she knows and we can move forward from here.”
Spencer nodded and smiled at her fiancée. “I don’t care what she says…I love you and I can’t wait to marry you.”
“Same here, Spence. Same here.” Ashley said leaning forward and kissing the blonde.
*SLAM*
Paula quickly made her way to the master bedroom before slamming that door as well. Arthur entered the kitchen and took a seat. He looked exhausted and Ashley’s heart went out to him.
“Well…you can count your mother out of the wedding…” Arthur said lightly.
“I’m sorry Dad.” Spencer said frowning at her father.
“It’s alright…it’s not your fault sweetie…well since I probably won’t be allowed in the room any time soon how bout we talk about this wedding of yours?” Arthur said with a small smile.

Are you kiddin me? How can Spencer and Arthur be so naive. I love how Ashley isn’t buying it, and she needs to stay on Spencer about it, don’t placate her, so she can be hurt when Paula pulls whatever it is she is gonna pull. Update again, quickly.

ohh Paula you’re a crafy one but this better not turn into How the Milf Stole the Wedding or something…tay brought up an interesting scenario though with the possible involvement of Aiden. It makes me cringe a little to try and imagine what she’s cooking up. Oh yeah, and I love your story even though I might not comment every time. I love each update, it’s just that I like to have something of actual substance when I comment and some days my vocab completely ditches me :) pms
