A Cullen Graduation Pt 2 ( next day)

“ I’m so sorry, Bella but we have to cancel the party.” Alice said with a sour face.

“ It’s okay, Alice. I’m just surprised you didn’t see it earlier.” I replied.

“I know but someone just decided they were going to pay us a little visit.” Alice turned to Edward. He      nodded.

“What? I hate the whole mind reading thing…” I added.
“Nothing.” They said in unison.

“Nothing we have to worry about.” Edward said as he pulled me from where we stood across the lot to his Volvo. Alice had take

Emmett’s Jeep and was waiting for the other Cullen siblings as we left.

“Edward what is it? “ I asked again. He sighed as he helped me in my side. He walked to his side and turned the engine on.

“Edward…..” I waited.

He sighed again before answering, “ Alice saw the Denali coven paying us a surprise visit.”

“What’s wrong with that? Aren’t they like family to you? “ I asked.

“They don’t have the same…diet as we do. “ He said with a hard, flat tone. He sounded almost disgusted, “Therefore, the party is off.”

“Oh, so I guess I won’t see you for awhile. During the family reunion I mean.” I added as he began to look confused.

“Bella, did you actually think I'd  leave you alone? I could see the Denali anytime. I’m staying with you.” He said with a smile.

“Oh,” I felt dumb. Of course he wouldn’t leave me.

“Did you want time alone? I could go.”  NO!

“No, it’s just that I asked you if you would stay.”

“I don’t understand.” He said.
“The answer was just a little obvious.” I laughed while I put my head down as I blushed. He took picked my chin up with his finger.

“I’m glad its obvious. I would never leave you, Bella.”

We pulled into the Charlie’s driveway. As soon as I got out of the car I went right to the kitchen. I started making Charlie’s dinner.

Edward sat in his usual chair.

“ Bella, does your dad know how to cook? “ He asked.

“Well..” His cell phone rang.

“Sorry. It’s Alice.” He said.

He muttered something too low for my human ears to catch. At that moment Edward hung up the phone and Charlie walked in the door.

“Hey Bells,” He greeted me,” Edward…”

“Hey dad, dinner’s ready.” I informed him.

“ Hello Charlie.” Edward said flat-toned. His head snapped up at me. His eyes never left my face. It was impossible to look away. He looked like he was having an inner conflict.

“Bella, can I talk to you for a second? “ He asked with the same look in his eyes.

I gave Charlie his food and walked outside with Edward.  As soon as we stepped on the porch, he’s eyes scattered to the surrounding forests.

“Edward…” I waited patiently. I counted to 50 before he spoke.

“One of the Denali decided to surprise me and is following my scent. I need to get you out of here. ''

Just as he said that…

“EDWARD!!!” A female voice called from the forest.
