    Opening Life – (Chapter: 10)

Ashley gave me a very unconvinced look and said "Right…., so you wanna serve?"

"Sure!" I took the ball from her and threw it in the air hitting it across the room, almost hitting Ashley, but she quickly dodged it.

"You could have killed me!" I had my hand over my face completly embaressed.

"Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Ashley!" She looked at me with a concerned look.

"Ok," She said while reaching to grab this bicycle helmet from the shelf next to her. "I better wear a helmet this time" I smiled at her.

"Ok, come over here!" I slowly walked over to her. "Ok, this is how you serve. Bounce the ball and and you have to have it bounce in your side before it hits the other side." She said while demonstrating it. I took the paddle and tryed it, but it kept hitting the little net. She walked up right behind me, holding my hands from behind. I could just smell the vanilla essece coming from her. I wasn’t quite sure how she could still smell so good, considering we just got back from the hospital not to long ago. I just got lost from her presence until………

    "Spencer, did you get that?"

    "What?"

"Did you get that?" she repeated.

"Um…….yeah" I said. She looked at me again with an unconvinced look. "You really have to quite lying to me!"

"Ok, fine I really don’t get it."

"Fine, you want to start up the stairs than?"

"No, I’m sorry, If you want to play ping- pong than I’ll try my best to play"

"No, no its fince lets go." Ok that didn’t turn out too well. Ashley slowly made her way back into the house. We walked over to the stairs, I couln’t help but notice that Ashley looked sad. "Whats wrong?" I asked caringly.

    "What?…….oh…nothing… why?’

    "You just looked sad."

"Nah" she replied with a reasuring smile. We slowly made out way up the stairs and back into our room. Ashley hopped over to her bed and layed down. The rest of the night was pretty quiet, not too much happened. Ashley fell asleep not too long after dinner. I looked over at ther sleeping girl. She just looked so peaceful. I smiled to myself and also drifted off to sleep.

Three days pass and nothing much happens. I wake up and look over at the clock 7:25 a.m. Woah, what am I doing up so early? I tried going back to sleep but my eyes stayed wide open, I guess I could use this time to write in my journal.

Tommorrow will be the day I start school with Ashley. I’m not sure, but over the week that I’ve been here I havedn’t met a single one of her friends and she hasn’t talked about any of them either…… except for the one that owned the beach house….. Ashley’s much better now she can walke without her crutes, so it doesn’t take her as long to get up and down the stairs. lol. Well, as for out relationship………It really…… hasn’t gone anywhere. After the kiss, she’s been treating me more like, just a sister. And I don’t know why. Well, maybe I’ll write a bit more later.

With that I closed my laptop sliding it back under my bed.
