One Side Love? – (Chapter: Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk)
Aiden smirked. “Ashley is in a load of trouble.”
Back inside, Ashley realized her problem. She quickly excused herself and ran into the bathroom. Spencer chuckled to herself and winked in the direction of the French doors. She saw two heads disappear in a flash.
“Told you Spencer knew what she was doing,” Aiden whispered. He sneaked a peek at Spencer and saw her waving gleefully back at him. The raven-haired man smiled sheepishly and waved back. Spencer replied with licking her lips, moving her middle finger and ring finger up and down, and then pointing to the area where the bathroom was located.
Glen was now gaping at the blonde’s actions. “Is my baby sister trying to say…?”
“Uh huh.”
“So Ashley is…?”
“Yep.”
“So we should…?”
“Definitely.” Aiden pulled his lover to his feet and they opened the doors. Spencer looked completely smitten and was grinning like the Cheshire cat.
“Well, happy trails!” Aiden waved goodbye to the blonde perched on the counter. “Be a good girl.” He winked and led Glen out by the hand.
As soon as Spencer heard the door click shut, she jumped off the countertop and crept through the hallway quietly. As she approached the closed bathroom door, she slid up to it without a sound and pressed an ear to the dark wood.
The first thing she heard was a string of curses. That was quickly followed by a murmur of some sort and Spencer could’ve sworn she had just said her name. But it wasn’t a moan like Spencer wanted, but more of a growl–an angry, perturbed growl. Like some small dog that tries to act like it’s three times its actual size, but would scamper away at the sight of a kitten.
A mental image of a Shih Tzu with Ashley’s face suddenly stuck Spencer’s mind. She snorted back a laugh, and realized, a little too late, that her co-worker could’ve easily have heard her. The door opened in a swish, revealing a hot-faced Ashley ‘The very disturbing dog’ Davies.
Spencer slowly backed away with a chuckle as the brunette took a step forward. In Spencer’s mind, she had a clear picture of how things could evolve from here, how things will, and how things won’t. Ashley was slowly stepping forward, pushing the blonde against the wall and smashing their lips together. Or she could’ve stomped off in pure disgust. But, knowing her co-worker way too much, Spencer knew what Ashley would do. And sure enough, it was exactly as expected.
There was no kiss, no uproar of rage, just a shy smile followed by an ambarrassed laugh. Spencer joined in on the awkward laughter. As long as Ashley wasn’t angry with her, Spencer would be happy. Or so she wanted to believe.

I’m really liking this story. I like the setting you’ve put them in, this story has a lot of potential. Hopefully Ashley will come to her senses and ditch the guy. I’m looking forward to your next post!
