Spencer rolled her eyes. "€œLet’€™s see…"€œ She scrunched up her face in thought. As if it were the most obvious answer, she suggested, "Move in with your boyfriend?"€ Spencer instantly regretted filling Ashley’€™s mind with such a horrible suggestion. Or maybe Spencer was the only one who didn’t want Ashley to move in with her boyfriend.

"€œNO!" Ashley exclaimed in horror. Spencer had to smile at the revulsion. Ashley had been going out with this handsome blonde with a perfect body for months now. Spencer noted that it had been four months– an Ashley Davies record. She couldn’€™t recall a single time where her friend had dated someone for longer than a week.

As Spencer was trying to remember Ashley’€™s previous failed relationships, the door to their office flew open. Two of their models, brother and brother-in-law, popped their heads in. Ashley’€™s eyes glistened happily when she saw Glen and Aiden. She opened her mouth, everything she was going to say already planned in her head. Just add some compliments, bribery, and lots of pleading and all would be set.

But before anything passed through her lips, a harsh voice warned the two models. "She’€™s going to beg you for money."€

"€œDamn you, Spencer!"€ Ashley bolted from her chair over to her seated co-worker. She swung a hand out and swatted Spencer on the back of the head. Ashley then wrapped her fingers around Spencer"s slim neck and threatened strangulation.

"€œI’€™m sorry, Ash,"€ Glen said. "€œBut we’re tight on money too."

"€œYeah, Ashley. It’€™s not easy paying for yourself and college expenses for our son," Aiden explained with frown.

Spencer untangled Ashley’s slender fingers from around her neck and pushed the older woman away from her. Ashley decided her desk was too far, so she settled herself on the edge of her co-worker’s desk. "€œYou know," Ashley pointed out, "€œthis wouldn’€™t be a problem if we were paid enough."€ Glen and Spencer laughed and nodded their heads.

"You said it!"€ Aiden agreed. As an afterthought he asked, "€œWhat do you need the money for anyway? Your boyfriend? Jeez, I hate guy spending girl’s money!"€

Ashley’€™s body visually shivered. "€œNo, I need it for rent."€

"Ah, well, why don’€™t you lend her some money Ms. And Mr. Moneybags?"€ Aiden asked Spencer and his lover.
