    “Fine if that’s true then this engagement is over Aiden!!! We’re done!!” I scream

    “So you seem to be a lot happier now.” Kyla says as we’re just hanging out in my living room

    I just look up from my magazine and shrug my shoulders. Truth be told I have been a lot happier ever since I went to see her two weeks ago. We’ve talked on the phone a lot because of her work and we’ve gone out for coffee twice. She’s so sweet, smart, funny, down to earth. She’s just about perfect. Just hearing her voice makes butterflies magically appear in my stomach.

    “Oh come on Ashley. You haven’t really told me anything about your new “friend”. I’m dying to know.” Kyla whines

    “What do you want me to tell you?” I ask

    “For starters, when can I meet her? What does she do for a living? Have you figured out if you like her more than just a friend? I want to know everything.” Kyla blurts out

    “She’s a Dr at County. No I haven’t figured anything out yet and no you can’t meet her.” I answer

    “Why can’t I meet her?” Kyla pouts

    “Because I’m not ready for you to meet her. I mean I’m barely getting to know her. Maybe in time.” I say firmly

    “Ah come on Ash, I won’t embarrass you. I just want to see the girl that has been able to plaster a permanent smile on your face.” Kyla continues to pout

    “No, Kyla.”

    “Fine, but at least answer me this. Does she make you feel more than Aiden?”

    I frown and say, “I think so. All I know is that she makes me feel stuff I had never felt before. I mean all I need is to hear her voice and it makes my day.”

    “So what are you waiting for then? Dump Aiden already.” Kyla whines

    I just roll my eyes and say, “It’s not that easy Kyla. I mean I still have to figure some more stuff out. I really do love Aiden. We’ve been together for a long time and for the most part he’s been good to me. Besides, I don’t even know if she wants a relationship with me. She might not have strong feeling for me. More importantly I don‘t want to hurt her and I don‘t want to get hurt. So I want to take things slow.”

This is where the mafia should come back. Spencer’s so protective, taking care of Ash like that. I did like that part. I can’t wait for karma to bite that bastard in the ass.
