    Why?

    Ashley was hurt. Her mother never wanted her around for anything.

    “where am I suppose to stay” Ashley said tossing her hand and landing it on the blue backpack that was now sitting on the bench that she was on.

    “ I’m sure your special friend wouldn’t mind taking you for the night” Her mom spoke up talking to Spencer.

    Spencer was taking aback.

    Ashley spoke for her

    “ mom you can’t just put me off on someone else” Ashley said irritated turning away from her mom

    Spencer could tell that Ashley was upset with her mom doing this to her. She was happy to take her in.

    “ I’m sure your special friend would love for you two to spend the night together” Her mom continued talking to Spencer

    Spencer gave a small chuckle. It made Ashley glance over and look at her.

    “ you can spend the night Ash” Spencer said smiling at Ashley

    I loved when she called me Ash

    Ashley’s mother didn’t wait for any other intrusions.

    “Great” She said putting back on her sunglasses. “ you two have fun. Chow”

    With that she spun around and was off. Ashley watched her mom walk away and wished for once the women would just give a damn about her.

    “ Are you sure” Ashley said returning her attention back to the sweet blonde.

    “ why? Would you rather spend the night with your special friend Kelly” Spencer said teasingly to the brunette.

    Was she just teasing or did she just give me insight to some jealously she might be feeling? Ashley wondered.

    “ you can be my Special friend tonight” I joked bumping Spencer’s shoulder with mine playfully.

    “Define Special Friend” Spencer asked laughing

    “ isn’t that like a little kid who has a Special friend that isn’t real” Ashley asked trying to turn the conversation.

    “That’s an imaginary friend” Spencer corrected her.

    The smile faded on Spencer’s face and she stared at Ashley

    “So did you want to spend the night with me or do you want me to leave so you can call Kelly” the blonde asked

    SHE WAS JELOUSE. I was finally getting a small very tiny rise out of Spencer. Right? I’m pretty sure that’s what this is. It was the second time she had mentioned Kelly and me spending the night with another girl.

    “no” I began sincerely “ I want to spend the night with you”

    That wasn’t a lie. More then anything in the world I wanted to spend the night with Spencer. I just wanted to be around her, and I was good to go.

    She smiled the sweetest smile and part of me believed she read the underline meaning in the words I had spoken to her.

    “Good” She responded still smiling at me not braking contact.

    I couldn’t wait for tonight.

    6. wow!! love the story!! Dang!! i really hate Ashley’s mom. Its like everyone in Ashley’s life jus uses her an then drops her like a hat. Her mom, the fuckin bitchy english teacher, Kelly. The only 2 that care r Aidan (i think) and Spencer, mayb Spencer’s dad but i dunno if they met yet! PMS!!!!!!!!
