North of Somewhere: All Grown Up – (Chapter: Vows…)
Ashley slipped into her loft as quietly as possible. If Spencer was still asleep, Ashley didn’t want to wake her. What she really needed was some peace and quiet to think about everything that had happened, but as she walked into the living room she immediately made eye contact with Spencer—and she knew she would.
“Hey,” she said, dropping her purse onto the couch.
“I’m sorry, I’m sure you want to be alone right now,” Spencer said, standing up from the chair she had been sitting in.
Ashley shook her head. Sometimes she forgot how well Spencer knew her, “No, I’m glad you’re here.”
“No, I know you like to be alone to process things and I know a lot has happened these past few days. I just wanted to tell you to take all the time you need. I shouldn’t have pressured you this morning. I don’t know what I was thinking or where it came from or why it happened. I guess I was just so relieved that we were back together that I…”
“You don’t have to explain. It’s ok…”
“Yes I do. I don’t want to mess things us between us before we even begin, Ashley.”
“You haven’t messed anything…”
“We need to move slowly,” Spencer interrupted, pacing now, “I get that. We can just see what happens…no pressure.”
“Spence, you have to listen to me, ok? Everything is fine. It’s not that I want to move slow either. I think you and I are way past the point of moving slow and taking our time. Yeah, this morning I freaked out and I’m sorry. You have the right to want kids…a family, the whole nine. That’s a good thing, and you’d be an amazing mother. It’s just that I don’t know if I’m ready for something like that yet.”
“I understand. I do, I really do.”
“Ok, then we’re good?”
“We’re good,” Spencer said, attempting a smile.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, of course I’m sure.”
“Good.”
They stood in awkward silence until Spencer finally spoke again, “Ok, well I guess I should get going.”
“Oh,” Ashley said, moving towards Spencer.
“Yeah, I have work tomorrow and I need to do laundry, go over my lesson plans….stuff like that.”
“Oh, fun stuff you mean,” Ashley said with a grin, grabbing Spencer’s hands.

i wonder how ur going to end this……….i have faith that u wont let ur readers down
I know this is easier said than done but I think Ashley’s just gonna have to go for it with Spencer. A decade is a long time to be in an on again, off again relationship. It’s time to make a decision once and for all. Ashley would be completely miserable without Spencer. This may sound corny but she’s gonna have to trust in their love. I can’t wait to find out what she’s gonna do.
Do I hear wedding bells? It certainly sounds that way! Awesome update! PMS
