    Author Notes:

    Spencer and Ashley have an outdoor adventure while Spencer tries to deal with her feelings for Linds. An unexpected return.

    “I can’t believe you two!” Ashley exclaimed, her arms flailing wildly in the air.

    “Wh…wh…it’s not what you think,” Spencer stammered, backing away from Lindsay.

    “No? Did I just imagine that you two left me alone with Aiden? I’m sorry, but I have no desire to listen to the kid go on and on about Lindsay. No offense, Linds.”

    “None taken,” Lindsay replied, relieved.

    “So, hurry up,” Ashley said, “It looks like it might rain or something.”

    “We’ll be out in a minute,” Spencer said with a nod.

    Her body was still tense as she walked towards a stall.

    “Cool.”

    With that, Ashley turned and exited the bathroom, leaving the two blondes alone.

    “Oh my fucking God! That was so close,” Lindsay said with a laugh.

    “Too close. Listen, Lindsay, I don’t know what I’m doing. Things with me and Ashley are perfect and I don’t want to mess that up.”

    “You don’t have to mess anything up, Spence. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her. I mean, I can’t say that I wouldn’t want you all to myself, but I’ll take you in any way you’re willing to offer. I just want to be with you.”

    Spencer was quiet. She didn’t want to cheat on Ashley. They had worked so hard to get to this point in their relationship and cheating with a girl she barely knew didn’t seem like a good idea—no matter how attracted to Lindsay she was.

    “I don’t know if I can do that.”

    “Just promise me you’ll think about it, ok? You don’t have to decide tonight. Give it some time. I’ll be waiting,” Lindsay said, walking out of the restroom and leaving Spencer to decide her next move.

    The rain beat down hard on the roof of Ashley’s car as she and Spencer drove to her house. Ashley was beyond excited about her opportunity to be alone with Spencer. It seemed like it had been years since she and the blonde had connected, both physically and emotionally, and she wanted to make sure their love had not been completely lost.

    “Are you ok? You’ve been kind of quiet,” she said, looking over at Spencer as they came to a red light.
