No One's Gonna Love You Like I Do – (Chapter: That bitch?)

The next six months were a living hell. My three friends; Jen, Heather, and Leia..yea remember them? Well they are totally not the people that I grew up with. They are asses now. I see them in the halls and they don’t even acknowledge me. All three of them are now cheerleaders, and every stereotype that goes on with that. They all have boyfriends and are ‘just so happy’. At least thats what I hear from my mom because she is still really good friends with Jens’ mom.

Tennis practice has been alright. I tried talking to Spencer, but she completely ignored me and went to talk to Kyla and Chelsea. Since there is no one else to talk to, I talk to Madison.

“Damn Spencer is such a bitch” whoa…not cool. “Madison!!! No she isn’t!!” I yell. Why am I sticking up for her? She has been a bitch..but I can’t seem to get her off my mind..and she isn’t a bitch to everyone..just me..and Madison..maybe thats it..does she think Madison is actually my friend? I have to get this settled, because I REALLY want to get to know Spencer.

    “Hey, Spencer..can we talk..?”

“What do you want Ashley? I’m not very interested in talking to people that are friends with Madison..I hate her..” WHAT?

“…um..no..no, no, no…I’m not friends with Madison..”

    “You always talk to her”

“Only because nobody else will, you have Kyla and Chelsea..that leaves me with Madison..not my first choice”

    “Who is your first choice?”

    “What?”

    “What?..I didn’t say anything..”

“..uh..um..alright..can we be friends? because I would really like that?

“Yeah, that’s fine I guess..better for the team anyway”

    “Ya..better for the team…”

On the way home my mom senses something..I don’t know how she does it..it creeps me out sometimes.

“Honey, what’s wrong?” my mom asks.

“Nothing, it was actually a really great practice..I made amends with Spencer..she thought I was friends with that bitch Madison”

     “Language”

“Sorry, she thought I was friends with that skank? Madison”

“Do you think that is better language?”

    “Do you?”

     “I personally prefer bitch..”

“Oh, ok mom who’s the one watching there language now?”

     “I’m just saying..I’ve met Madison..she is a bitch and a skank..but definitely more of a bitch”

    “haha..very true”

We pull into the driveway and I see my dad out back. He’s boiling some crawfish for dinner. I love crawfish!!! I jump out of the car and run over to my dad.

    “Hey dad!!”

“Hey kiddo!! How was your day?”

“It was really good, that girl Spencer I was telling you about..ya..she thought I was friends with Madison..”

    “That bitch?”

“..yeah..she thought I was good friends with her, so she didn’t want to be friends with me because of it”

“Well thats good that you figured it all out. Maybe you should invite her over sometime *wink**wink*” yea..my dad kinda knows that I might like girls..might like a girl..singular..Spencer..He is really easy to talk to. He is a really cool guy and an amazing cook..He works for a big law firm and has to travel a lot so I take full advantage of the time I do get to spend with him. My mom doesn’t know yet..I think she would be fine with it, but who really knows..

We sit down on the patio to eat dinner, and my dad keeps pushing the Spencer issue. I really want to invite her over, but we just became friends..

“Why don’t you invite her over Friday?”

“As in two days from now?”

“Yes, why would that be a problem?”

“No..but aren’t you and mom going to some work function?”

    “Exactly”

    “Dad!!”

“What is that supposed to mean Arthur?”

“Oh, nothing..I just want them to have a good time..” I really do love my dad sometimes…
