Judge Jackson sat watching the doors as they closed. He was deep into thought of the events that just happened. By law, he was not allowed to be persuaded on his final decision by an event like that, but everything that Ashley had said held so much emotion and truth. How could anyone not listen to it? “Anyway, this court finds you guilty. You will serve the minimum of 3 years in jail and 112 hours of community service after you get out. Court Adjourned.” The mallet hit the wood for the last time.
Amanda shot up with a smile and jumped over the railing to hug Spencer. She was overwhelmed with happiness at the recent events. “Congratulations.” Spencer shouted out to the girl in her arms.
Amanda pulled away and smiled. “Don’t congratulate me, congratulate Ashley.”
The group of girls planned to celebrate after the hearing. It was a big deal to win a case like that. All they needed to do was first run by and tell Paula they were going out again and ask if she would watch the kids a bit longer. Upon arriving to the house, Ashley and Spencer walked to the door, and Amanda waited in the car. The door was locked and nobody was responding to the numerous knocks on the door.
Spencer pulled a key out from under the mat remembering what her mother had told her. “Anytime you want to come by, there is a key under the mat.” She was grateful that she had remembered.
She unlocked the door and looked at the motionless living room. There was a lot of talking coming from a room upstairs. She and Ashley ran up towards the noise. You could hear it clearly in the hall as they approached the room. “I’m telling you, Ben,” Paula was speaking on the phone. She was sitting on her bed with her back to the cracked door. “With everything that is going on right now, I don’t think I can handle anything else.” There was a pause before Paula continued. “Of course I’m happy for Clay. The things I’m not happy about are what’s going on with Arthur and I plus Spencer and Ashley” Another pause. “No, I’m not happy for them. I’m just acting like I am in hopes of reverse psychology that Spencer will become less attracted to that girl.”
Spencer and Ashley stood outside the door hearing the entire thing. The words shot through like dagger. The blonde’s mind told her legs to run, but she just couldn’t do it. After Paula hung up the phone, she turned around and was shocked to see the hurt look on her daughters face. “Spence, how much did you hear?”
Spencer ignored the question. She began marching towards her mother with tears threatening to fall. “You were okay with Clay wanting to find his birthmother, you were okay when glen got addicted to his medication, and you were okay when clay wanted to spend the weekend with Chelsea up in a cabin alone. Why can’t you be okay with me and Ashley?” Her anger seeped through as Ashley came close behind her in case she needed to be held back.
“Spencer, I am sorry, but I just can’t be. It isn’t right. It is gross, against the bible and EVERYTHING that we have ever believed in! I won’t EVER be okay with it.” Paula said finally admitting her true feelings.
“I hope you burn in hell.” Spencer spat with fury close behind. She stormed out of the room and grabbed Avery from the room next door. Ashley followed, grabbing Amanda and they made their way to the car.
By the time Ashley caught up with Spencer, the blonde was already in the car crying into her knees, Amanda buckling Avery into his car seat and Looking at Spencer asking what was wrong. All Ashley could think about was how she could possibly fix this.

the word of the day is balls.Ash grew em and so did Spence. Good on em. thanks for the light momement in the drama when the judge said “Anyways” made me giggle and made the intensity of the momement bareable. nice up date i dig it.
Damn and i thought paula was coming around. Nope i was wrong she is a bitch. I`m glad ashley stood up and told what happen. Great chapter.
I thought Paula was coming around, too. I feel so bad for Spencer and Ash that my feelings were hurt, too. I can’t believe Paula would say that after everything Ashley has been through. If i were Ash, I’d feel like shit and wonder if Spencer would be better off without two babies who were concieved from rape. Poor babies. All of them;(
I AM SSOOO GLAD THAT CHRIS IS GOING TO JAIL!!! YEAH!!!! The bad thing is that Paula was just putting on a show for Ashley and Spencer. I can’t believe that she doesn’t not accept her daughter, AAHHHH!!!!!! I thought she changed, but I guess I was wrong. GREAT CHAPTER UPDATE and can’t wait to read the next one. PMS!!!!
October 12, 2006.. today marks the day that my heart turned to stone..black as night..grew 3 sizes to small..!!!! Here I thought I had to worry about ngasi_lei srewing me over with the whole trust thing!! I will now become a cold hearted bitch..never ever ever will I trust again!! I trusted you Paula!! What in the flying fuck gives you the right to do that!! Do you like playing with peoples heads?? Well fuck you!! now I get to go imagine some horrible death for me to propose to the writer..thanks alot sherlock!!! Okay anyways..totally was NOT expecting that to happen and that makes me Love you even more!!! I luv ya like a fluffy kid loves ronald mcdonalds hair!! I love it please PMS, =)
