New Year – (Chapter: Jordan’s house)

“Spencer wait up,” she stopped but didn’t turn around. I locked the car, making sure to hear the beep from the alarm before making my way up to her, “Can we just…you know for tonight?”

“I’m mad yes but I’m not going to take it out on Jordan and her family okay, so I’ll chill.” My eyes locked on to hers at her rambling but I saw her trying to hide her smile, she is so not mad at me anymore. I nodded and we headed up to the front door. We stood there for a minute waiting for someone to open the door, inside someone was yelling they’d be right there and stumbling over something both of us tried to refrain from laughing as the door opened.

“You made it,” Jordan said a little too excitedly. She still had on her jeans and sneakers but no longer wore her hoodie. Instead she had on a black tank top with pictures of guitars on, her light brown hair was pulled back into a pony tail and she wore no make up, this was the first time I ever really saw the seventeen year old with out a hood on and she was hot…I don’t understand how someone as good looking as her got to be King High’s punching bag.

“I said we’d be here,” Spencer smiled. I could tell she felt nervous and over dressed as did I.

“Cool,” she motioned for us to enter. The living room was spacious, the furniture placed perfectly to make it feel homey with the air of luxury, a flat screen TV hung on the wall in front of the couch over a fire place. Sliding glass doors lead out to a patio but from this angle I couldn’t see beyond that, to our left was a kitchen with stainless steel equipment and cherry oak counters, an island in the middle with three stools. Stairs that led to the second floor was near the door and a hall way to the right led to two more doors, the place was huge, nothing like my mansion because I’d want to live here.

“Have a seat; do you guys want anything to drink?” Jordan asked, her voice raising and lowing in nervousness.
